Adds body, shine and softness
I'm delighted to have found this shampoo - I was actually looking for one with chamomile but eventually opted for this one which contains aloe vera, jojoba and rosemary. I have sensitive skin and scalp but had no bad reaction to this product. It smells subtly herby and floral and has a luxurious, rich feel. You only need a little to get a good lather and it leaves hair soft, shiny and fuller than any previous shampoo I have tried - including some that were ridiculously expensive. No flyaways, no dullness. It manages to combine gentleness with great effectiveness and at a fantastic price, as a little really does go a long way. Perfect for children's hair too. I found I did not need to use a conditioner either. Excellent product.

Great shampoo without coconut ingredients which is great
I find the item great for all the natural ingredients contained, I appreciate that it doesn't contain any coconut derivates, it makes hair look shiny, moreover, a small amount of the shampoo is enough to make good leather

Stick with it
I think I've reviewed this before so this is a bit of an update. I think in my last review I said something about it being ok but not brilliant and that I was just over the moon to have a coconut free (SLS etc) shampoo. Well I have now been using this for a few months and I use it on my hair and I use it on my 5 year old daughter's hair. My hair is soft, shiny and strong. So strong in fact that my hair is now exceeded its maximum growing length by multiple inches and for hair that used to reach just above my bra strap it is now just above my waist and that's with a haircut recently to bring it back up to my bra strap. My daughter's hair is very much the same. Soft, shiny and it is so much thicker. I think that when I first started using it my hair was just damaged from previously having to wash it in washing up liquid and it needed a chance to actually start building my hair back up and working on it. I used to really miss being able to being able to wash my hair in normal shampoo but not any more. This 1000% does the job. My hair looks as good as it has ever done and although I was upset I couldn't condition it also I actually find that I don't need to.

GREAT, but don't be fooled by the list price - not so cheap.
I was attracted to this shampoo by the list of ingredients - clear, lacking in sulphates, silicones and stripping chemicals and bountiful with herbal goodies. My hair is lifted 7 levels and toned to a warm creamy blonde so is extremely porous and needs to be pampered. I find the sulphates/alcohols etc... in most commercial shampoos excessively drying and damaging to my vulnerable hair and my previous go to product – a boots own sensitive range – discontinued. After drudging through high street brands (all no worse than not washing at all) I was forced to try samples of supposedly high end friendly labels which claim to cater for chemically processed hair (Pureology, Redken, Joico, Aveda, Blondme, Lush) but offered in the end indifferent results or sometimes even worsened the dryness and manageability (Lush, Blondme) or have been reformulated in recently to include the damaging ingredients they previously got such good reviews for excluding (Pureology) both my hair and my wallet were at breaking point. Sulphate free shampoos are hard to find on the high street, and they rarely have such good ingredients listings, even online. However, I found Mistry's recommended in one of the Curly Girls forums (always helpful as this hair type shares many of the same problems). I was so impressed by the ingredients and at the reasonable price I was happy to take a punt and also bought the matching conditioner. I DO like the results – my hair feels clean, but not dried out and when used in combination with the conditioner the results are hydrated and shiny. I DON’T love the small size of the bottles and the overall cost: because you do need to use a lot of the shampoo each time (about three times as much as usual) this makes it fairly expensive when you factor in the extra product needed and the postage - about £13 for a 200ml bottle of shampoo seems quite steep. If I could find this in an offline shop, postage was lower or the bottles were larger I would consider re-purchasing. Otherwise, I'm uncertain.

Don't know what I would do without it
I was looking for a more affordable alternative to another well know aloe jojoba shampoo as I have fine hair which seems to stay fuller and cleaner for longer with the aloe jojoba combination. I wasn't expecting this shampoo to be half as good but can honestly say that it is better. The ingredients list is as close as you can get to an all natural product. There are no nasties or additives and it is not tested on animals. 5p from every sale goes to the make a wish foundation which is a really lovely touch. OK, so the bottle is not huge but I have found that you only need a pea sized amount to wash with once and then do a second wash with a smaller amount and it will lather very well. When you consider the price of comparable products you really can go wrong. I can now go 4 days between washes which is unthinkable for my usually lank, flat, lifeless hair. My scalp feels healthy and the hair does not break as much. I will continue to use it for as long as Mistry's make it. I have tried pretty much everything to restore my damaged hair but this is perfection when used with the aloe jojoba conditioner. I honestly don't know what I would do without it.

Smells lush!
I love this so much that I will buy it again and I will order the conditioner too. After years of putting a well known brand on my hair it's been fabulous to use something this natural. My hair had started to get lank and the curls were dropping out because of a build up of product - all sorted now. This shampoo smells lovely - of roses more than anything - so much nicer than I expected it to. So many shampoos make my scalp itch but this stuff leaves it clean and not sensitive. I love it.

Wavy hair
I like the quality, my hair feel soft and shine but I don’t like I need to use a lot of product to feel like it cleans well and the shampoo is too small

Worth trying
I purchased this shampoo because I'd stripped a build up of dye from my hair with a chemical product. I wanted to rest my hair and not use any chemicals on it for a week. Also I've suffered with some hair loss and I was interested in using a natural product to promote hair growth. My hair is damaged by chemical processing so when I used the shampoo it felt incredibly brittle, this shampoo allowed the natural condition of my hair, unlike the usual branded supermarket products filled with chemicals. Due to the condition of my hair I had to use some conditioner, I thought it might break easily otherwise. This shampoo helped my scalp feel less itchy, it's too early to say if it's help regrowth but information on the internet suggests that rosemary and jojoba are good ingredients for this. I've also started using a derma roller and applying a different natural serum for hair growth so I won't be able to say in future if this shampoo contributes to any hair growth. The smell is different to anything I've used before, perhaps more herb-like, not the most beautiful smell and not the worst either. I used a 10p size drop, washed and rinsed and a smaller size drop for a repeat and it produced lots of lather the second round. I would definately buy again simply for the natural content and the calming effect.

LOVE THIS SHAMPOO!
I absolutely LOVE this shampoo!!!! I have multiple allergies, including one to coconut and this is coconut free. I have psoriasis and eczema so finding a shampoo that helps that has been challenging. I’ve also been battling with hard water at my home and how awfully greasy it makes my hair feel, and I’m not able to get a water softener. I’ve tried multiple different kinds of shampoo with no luck until now. This shampoo is a game changer! My hair feels softer, more manageable, and less full of residue after a few weeks of use. I’m also noticing that I don’t have as much hair loss in the shower as I had with my old shampoo which is cool. I’m amazed! I have long, thick, wavy hair and find I don’t need to use conditioner with this shampoo because my hair feels so fresh and soft afterwards. I did read other reviews before purchasing and have some tips I found helpful when using this product. Right before you put it in your hair, I find giving the bottle a good shake to mix things up really helps. Then for the lather, I find it works best to lather it up in my palms first then work that through my hair. Since my hair is so long and thick, I section it then work it from my scalp to ends in each section. I will also go back through with another round of shampoo if I find I need an extra cleanse since I’m battling the hard water.

The best for coconut allergies
I’m allergic to coco propanol betaine and this is the only shampoo I use. The lather is nice. Wish it smelled nicer but it beats a migraine!

Changed Formula / No Longer Coconut Free
I am allergic to coconut and after year of losing my hair because of trying so many bad coconut free shampoos from other questionable brands, I found Mistrys Organic Products that saved my skin, scalp, and hair. It was the only coconut free shampoo that leathered like regular shampoo. It cleansed my hair and scalp very well and left it shiny, frizz free, soft and not straw like. I also used it as body wash and that worked fantastic, made my skin soft and smooth. However, since the end of 2025 and 2026 they have been playing with the price a bit too much, the formula has changed without pointing that out on their Amazon page, and the quality has gone terribly down. At the end of 2025 I received only spoiled shampoos that were of the original coconut free formula. Since 2026 I have received a bunch that are with coconut and not listed in the ingredients list of said changes nor not advertised for which I ended up getting a terrible allergic reaction that lended me in the hospital. Amazon took down my original review by request of the seller and many others ended up getting an allergic reaction. - The coconut free not spoiled shampoo: the smell of it is of honey/honeysuckle and the consistency is rich and pearly, not liquidy but with body like regular shampoos. - The spoiled coconut free one: the smell is like the one of spoiled dairy products super acid and pungent, the consistency is super liquidy and has no pearliness to it. - The new 2026 one with coconut: smells chemically no longer like honey/honeysuckle. The color it is lighter than the original coconut free formula that was more golden like honey and will give you an allergic reaction. I am disappointed in Amazon's decision to side with a company that has caused to many long consumer of this brand an allergic reaction because of their changes without a warning nor taking any responsibility both Amazon and the sellers. It was the best shampoo out there for people allergic to coconut or for those that coconut and coconut derivatives products gave them cystic acne. Now I am back to the tortures search for coconut free shampoos and hygiene products. I am saddened to see this company go down this path and losing the best coconut free shampoo on the market that was/is so hard to find. Anyway, one can only and always hope that companies do not change for the greater bad, but it turns out that at some point, it is always the case. Let's hope Amazon doesn't take down this review again!

It's okay
It cleans, it's coconut free, but there are cheaper shampoos out there that give me twice as much shampoo at half the cost.
