Are these 52mm or 55mm? The descriptions are different.

There is no 50 or 55mm on the glasses but a code 57 SQUARE BOX 20 140mmCE.Prefixed Original Pilot.I do not know what the numbers mean.They are good glasses but a bit dark for my preference.It is a shame there are no standards of light gradation for glasses as it makes buying online difficult.I have just measured the diameter of the lens and it is 57mm across.Hope this helps.Stan ChunWellingtonNew ZEaland.

What lens material are these made from? the "True Color Gray" option should be glass. Is the "gray" option polycarbonate?

I have the True Color Gray and they are indeed glass. Not sure about anything else, but since these are military issue I think they are all made from glass.

I bought these for a gift and within six months the metal sides have turned green and tarnished. What do I do with these?

I didn't have any problem with tarnishing, and I don't know what you should do about that. After 6-8 months, one of the nose pads broke off on my frames.
