Good quality , the recipe needs more water than indicated on the package to have great consistency (just a tip) and you can add a pinch of salt to make it better ; really love it doing sopes and huaraches , felt like home

This masa harina is my favorite brand. The taste is great and I love that it is made of heirloom corn. It is more nutritious than other brands. It does cook a different color, obviously, since it is 'blue'.

I used to buy this stuff from their storefront in West LA. It's always been good and still is good when delivered from Amazon (I wondered). I compared the Masienda and Maseca brand blue masa harina making tortillas. The difference was clear, the Masienda tortillas simply had a better and clearer nixtamal/corn taste. If you want the very best, it's the Masienda, hands down. I've also tried the Masienda white masa harina. While it is very yummy, I choose the blue every time now for tortilla making. Minus 1 micro-point for not selling out of their West LA storefront anymore. I'm sad I can't ride my bike over there to pick up an order any more :(
