I love my Belula brush, and especially the comb. After a few months of brushing and distributing oils out with this boar brush, it's so much softer and more cooperative than before. My hair is long, about 27 inches, very fine, and other kinds of brushes always seem to rip and break it, while other boar brushes always seem too stiff. I'm a big fan of the wood handle. It's easy to hold from the end or the brush head itself, lightweight, and sturdy. There was some bristle shedding for the first few weeks of regular use, but that's expected with any natural fiber product. The comb that comes with it, however, is absolutely my favorite comb ever. The shape, the prong density, the finish on the wood, I could go on and on about it. It's perfect for gentle detangling, and I use it all the time. The one that came with my original order did break, apparently due to a manufacturing error, but when I reached out to Belula to ask if they sell a replacement comb, they went ahead and sent me a new one. It comes in a beautifully presented box, great for gifting, with a storage bag, a towel headband, and a sticker seal so you know you're not getting someone's returned item. Even the box is well made, in case you're the kind to reuse boxes. Great product, great presentation, great customer service. I plan to buy some as gifts in the future and will recommend it to anyone who will listen to me ramble about hair care.

I wasn't what to expect of a boar's hair brush though I know it is good. It is surprisingly soft. If you are looking to comb out tangles this won't do it but what it does do, and does extremely well, is nurture your hair. Try the old "100 strokes a night" that women used to do and I think you'll find it makes a difference in your hair. Is it because it spreads the natural oils out? Maybe. It's a good brush but I am finding it is best used in combination with another of their brushes, a round one that has both boar's bristles and nylon ones.

Excellent product! The brush is gentle on my long hair and detangles easily. My hair feels smooth and taken care of. I love the pampering feeling nightly!

Ok so this brush is awesome, it just makes my hair a little staticky. I have really thin, fine, long hair. It gets so oily fast. But really, I am obsessed with the comb that comes with this! I use it way more than the brush hahah! It's so amazing at distributing the natural oils on my hair. My hair looks stunning and not staticky after using this comb and I have to wash my hair less. I brush it dry for like 3 minutes a day and it works amazing.

Absolutely amazing. The bristles are very soft as advertised, it even comes with a manual of how to clean your brush!

Nice for smoothing hair, but super soft bristles that do not penetrate thick hair at all.

Bristles are firmer than expected but I am pleasantly surprised since it can actually go through my hair instead of just brushing the top layer like my last brush. Which shouldn't be a problem since I have fine thin hair anyway! Wish I would've went with the large size, but it is a great brush

the comb and brush set arrives in a lovely presentation box, within that is a protective bag to keep the comb and brush. All items are nice to look at, smooth to the touch and well-crafted. there are written instructions on how to use them. detangle hair with comb, then use the brush to smooth. it states quite clearly that the brush is not intended to detangle, no be use to help style hair. I appreciated the attention to clarity for the first-time user of this system. I felt very strange having to "learn" how to use a comb and brush. I have used many a different type of brush over the years with varying degrees of pain or hair pulled out. I decided to give this set a try because I had yet to try this type of combination. there is a learning curve. it requires patience. to use the comb to untangle my hair, I had to separate into small chucks of strands to comb out the tangles and go section by section until done. I have elbow length, fine hair, that tangles extremely easily. once I had done this combing technique on three separate occasions, when I sat down for my fourth time, i decided to set a timer for how long it takes to use this comb to detangle my hair. 40 minutes. that is a really long time. after the detangling was completed, the instructions tell you to flip your hair and use the brush to brush from the back of your neck to the tip of hair. aside from the blood rushing to my head, when you are done and sit upright, your hair, of course, is brushed forward in a manner that does not look presentable. so you use the brush again to brush it back to lay in a normal position. but because my hair is so fine and tangles so easily, just those two acts, now have my hair slightly tangled again. so I used my fingers to lightly comb my hair so it would lay correctly. I only did the upside-down brushing once. from then on, it's been right-side up brushing only. I do think the brush does make my hair feel softer. I am not sure if the use of the wood comb to detangle as opposed to the previous plastic hairbrush I use is an improvement. It certainly forces you to comb slower, which may be a benefit to your hair. but I only use the system at night when I can spare 40 minutes. I use my previous brush in the morning because with that one I can be finished brushing in 15 minutes or less.

Love the brush! Beautiful packaging and great for a gift! Can’t believe the shine in my hair after 1st day of using it! Love it.

I have quite long straight hair which is prone to tugs and split ends. I wanted to get a brush that would help keep my hair healthier and smoother, and while it was a little pricier than I’d normally want to spend on a brush, I figured brushes last years! It was definitely worth it, my hair look feels and looks amazing when I use it. It’s clearly kinder to my hair than the previous nylon bristle brushes I’d used, as there is a a much more consistent, smoother texture and feel to my hair, less split ends, and it’s neither too dry or too oily. I do tend to have to use the wooden comb first, but it also does a great job of tackling knots. I’d highly recommend this product - my hair is so much healthier and looks and feels loads better now! I’ve never really been someone who spends ages on her hair, but I actually love brushing my hair now because of how lovely it looks and feels after!!

I remember these brushes were popular when i was yong but i didnt really know what the purpose of the bore bristles were at the time. This 100% bore bristle brush definitely helps with less breakage,it distributes the natural oils down your hair as you brush, making your hair shiny and soft. It's best to separate your hair into sections and then brush your hair. I feel that my hair looks healthier and it definitely takes the frizz away giving you a smooth but full look. It is not a styling brush. I bought this same brush for my daughter and it is so much easier to brush her hair and she says that it doesn't hurt like the brushes with plastic bristles and it doesn't break her hair. I definitely recommend this brush to anyone who wants beautiful natural hair. Also I don't wash my hair every day and by distributing the oils my hair feels better because the oils don't build up at the roots.
