Guanciale Kg. 1 Circa

Delivery took less than a week, so slightly quicker than I expected, considering it came directly from Italy.The description said circa 1kg and I actually received a 1.2kg piece, so that worked out well.The quality was excellent. I am used to buying guanciale in Italy and I would probably have selected this piece in any Alimentari in the country. I will be using this vendor again.

Just so you know it won’t be a kilo but comes around 850g but that it is not the issue as they say in the description 1 kg circa.Going into the quality of the cut: it is scarce of fat and covered by a mix of pepper and chilly, should be just pepper. (What about people with chilly allergy?)Flavour: the flavour of the pork is too wild, doesn’t resemble the soft flavour normally you have from guanciale, then, because it has been over aged the scarcity in fat and humidity makes the meat too salty.I had multiple complaints on food using this meat.Won’t buy this again.

Haven't tried the actual product yet so can't judge based on quality but what I can judge on is the fact it weighs 720g!! I'm getting less than 3/4 of the product I paid for! Trading standards???
