Reasonably easy to apply and works very well
My wife and I applied this film to our garage door windows which faced the west. I wouldn’t say that we did a perfect job because it was our first experience in applying reflective film. However, it worked well enough after we got the hang of it. It’s made a huge difference in how hot our garage gets in the afternoon setting sign. I would use this product again

wanted to like it but it just wasted my time and effort in the end
I have installed GILA window tint on all of the windows in my home (privacy frosted and platinum for heat rejection) and have not had the types of issues I have with the BDF tint. BDF tint feels slightly thicker than GILA's, which I thought would be a plus. The issue comes from bubbling. I've used the proper installation technique and even watched BDF's videos to ensure their application wasn't any different but ended up with a ton of bubbles that crept up after the installation. During the install, I remove all of the bubbles and properly apply the film using the properly mixed solution and squeegee. As it is drying, new bubbles form under the tint and they do not disappear during the curing process. There is no trapped dirt or dust in these bubbles. I was issued a new roll and when I removed the first installation, it was liquid that was inside these bubbles. It is "normal" for small liquid bubbles to form under tint and over a few days/week they should cure and dry. This is not the case with this particular tint. Pros: It is easily removable and doesn't tear very easily without being cut first. Color and clarity were perfect for me. Tool set they give is a plus. They give a nice fresh razor and squeegee inside the roll. Cons: I know it's easily removable because the first installation started to bubble and they would not go away after several weeks of curing. +1 star for amazon's customer service I tried to get a photo of the types of bubbles I was talking about. They're clear bubbles, not white. In auto tint, clear bubbles disappear as the liquid underneath dries/cures. With GILA, it does the same. This was not the case with this particular BDF tint. I do not work for or am associated in anyway with GILA. That is the only other brand product I have experience with.

I just threw it away.
So if you are super good at window tinting buy this im sure its great. If you are like me and are impatient easily frustrated let someone else do it. It is just like handling packing tape that sticks to itself. With the backing on i could put it up easy and it would likely stay. With the backing removed it is crazy annoying for me. I dont know what star rating to pit because honestly its 100% me. However it is not what i define as user friendly.

great product but must use the right technique
How I managed to perfect the technique: lots of water with a drop of baby shampoo on the adhesive side and the window . I used painters' tape on top both sides (front and back) on top right and left corner to manuver without touching the sticky side of product and to easily separate the backing. I also used the tape on the bottom, non-sticky side to help with moving - fitting or pulling our withouth bending or touching the sticky side. Reaply the water to easily move the film on the glass, do not pull when it gets dry.
