For the safety of a loved one it's a bargain
I think some of the dissatisfied customers who left reviews had different expectations for this product. This is a wearable alert button which can be connected to wifi to send you ***IN APP*** notifications to your mobile device. This does not text or call your phone without the additional subscription. We are using it without the subscription and it works as advertised. For some background, we got this because recently my mom slipped out of bed and could not get up from the floor. She was in another room and no one knew until the morning. She was otherwise ok, but she just doesn't have the mobility to get up from the floor. So for my own peace of mind and to stop middle of the night bed checks, I wanted a wearable alert button for her. This is the only one I found that has the look of a smart watch and not a medical alert bracelet so she will not be self conscious about wearing it. I bought one for each of the folks and we have tested it and it works as we expected. I connected two buttons and two receivers to the app and changed the names so I will know which of the buttons is signaling for me. The volume is adjustable (off, low, medium, high), alarm sounds can be changed, and alarm duration can be changed as well. I set the alarm time for 10 minutes so it will definitely wake me if needed but also so that when I am out of the house and get the notification, the turing off of the alarm will let the folks know I received their alert. Setup was easy enough and the instructions provided were very clear. The following was all the setup required: 1) I first got the app and set up an account. There are two apps that you can choose from and there is a QR code for each in the instructions. You only need one the apps not both. Clicking the link took me to the app store to get the free "smart life" app. 2) Then I had to connect my phone to the 2.4gHz band. My wiFi has dual band (both 2.4gHz and 5gHz) and my phone connects by default to 5gHz. My router has an app which allows me to control the connections (the app is where you would go to reset the password for your wifi) and I chose the setting to temporarily connect my phone to 2.4gHz instead of 5gHz. 3) Once on the correct band, I plugged in the receivers. Distance from receiver to wifi needs to be less than 66 ft and distance of button to receiver needs to be within 230ft. Having mesh wifi and two receivers I set them up in different areas of the house. In the app I selected "Add device" and hit the pairing button on the back of the receiver. The instructions have screen shot illustrations and diagrams of what needs to be done and what button to push. The instructions were very helpful. Including pics in this review. 4) After the receiver is paired to the 2.4 gHz wifi band then you connect the SOS button (the watch that has the button they will wear) to each receiver. In the app later you can name each button and each receiver. I renamed them since there will be two people with buttons and I wanted to know which one was sending a signal for help. If you were setting up a stationary button you could label each button with room names. 5) Finally, I updated my phone notification settings to allow the app to send me notifications. We already had a test run of this as my dad did bump the button getting his coffee He was unhappy that the alarm has to be turned off in the app only. I am ok with this setup because I think false alarms are acceptable and expected. Having a loved one in need of help but unable to get it is not acceptable for me. So all in all excellent product. No subscription necessary and it was a great value. I will update if anything changes but at this time we are all very satisfied.

Great Caregiver Pager with Loud Siren Alert
This WiFi pager has been a big help for us! It was easy to set up and connects right to my phone. When the button is pressed, the receiver sounds a loud siren and I get an alert instantly — even if I’m away from home. The rechargeable pager holds a good charge, and I like that you can check the battery level in the app. The waterproof button is perfect for the bathroom or kitchen too. It even lets you share alerts with family, which is super handy. Overall, it works great and gives us real peace of mind.

Unable to get messages while phone locked
Everything works fine during our testing except that we can only get the notifications in the app if 1) App is open 2) phone not locked. This does not work for us because our phone locks for security. So the notification feature is useless (there is a paid option for SMS which we did not try ... seemed I little sketchy to us the way it asked for money).

Updated Review
I bought a new device, but was obviously used. It had multiple pagers connected with different configurations. I got it connected to Wi-Fi, but had to remove WPA2 from the SSID and then was able to get it connected. Testing has given very poor results. The call devices seem to go to sleep and sometimes alert in 1 click, sometimes 5 clicks. Works fine once it “wakes” up, but goes on standby within a minute or two. Distance is a few feet from the base when testing the pagers. *Update from 1 star to 4* I wanted to update the review. We were able to correct the delay. This device is seen as an alarm in the IOT software. What we found is that if the mode of the alarm is set to Home, this is what causes the delays. The device needs to be set to "Away". But this can change, so we created a schedule in the software to set the system to "Away" every few hours. This has helped the system and now there is no delay or having to constantly push the call buttons.

Inexpensive security.
Bought this for my elderly father who lived at home on his own. Easy to connect to the App, comes with 2 buttons, one he wore, the other was placed on the shower wall. There was no extra monthly charge needed unless you want to subscribe to their service. Inexpensive and peace of mind.

Service Provider
The device works very well used it for my 92 year old mother for several years. After she passed away, I could not stop the charges to my credit card. The seller doesn’t have any relation to the service provider. No contact information is available. Had to cancel credit card twice even after credit card company got involved. Beware of the service provider at activation.

This works as an affordable alternative to subscription services
I have only tested the device. I bought it for my father who lives in another state and I haven't been able to visit him and have him use it. However, the device works. Some care is required to get it set up. The instructions aren't the best. I may come back and include what I did. Pressing the button on the watch or one of the buttons gives you an alert on your phone. That's what I needed. The watch is of a rugged quality that will easily survive bath time. The buttons can be worn on a lanyard or attached to a hard surface via double sided tape. Both are provided.

Lousy company- no customer service!
This product is awful. Loses Wi-Fi constantly. I got a new cell phone and cellular service and it will not connect anymore. I paid for the subscription service to alert my cell phone - still doesn't work. No customer service at all. Lousy company! The app is different from the booklet. Nothing works. Absolutely is not worth the money.
