Allows you to connect your old Sega Genesis/ Mega Drive with your new TV. Do not expect high definition as this is impossible due to technical limitations (search online to learn why). But the cable does the work and it's affordable.

I never thought I would have an excuse to bring one of my oldest consoles out of mothballs. But it looks like some mad genius went and made an adapter kit that actually does what it advertises! I have nothing else to share but a big ol' thanks!

You may still have to purchase an HDMI cable as it didn't come with one and I had to have one. Also the cord you plug into your Sega (not the one for the power block but the other) is nearly too big around to go through the hole in the console. It's a very tight fit. But it does work! I gave for stars because it didn't come with an HDMI cable and from the sale post and it's details I believed it had everything I would need.

This is a huge improvement over the coax connector that the system originally comes with. It’s like night and day if you look at the differences. Completely worth it if you Want to play on newer Televisions

Okay if you do not have composite inputs and don’t want to spend the money on a SCART-based upscaler. The positives and negative listed below are illustrated in the attached image. (+) As advertised, it allows you to connect your console to your TV via HDMI. (+) The display is a lot sharper, which reduces eye fatigue. (-) The sharpening seems to have eliminated antialiasing as edges are jagged. (-) Vertical bars appear as artifacts in the video and are somewhat distracting. Overall, if I did not want to spend the money on a SCART-based upscaler, this would be suiteable for TVs without composite A/V inputs. Ultimately, I returned it to try a SCART-based upscaler.

Simply plug it in using which ever one of the adapters fit your old console, and you're back playing all your favourite games from the 90s on your smart TV!

Excelente relación calidad precio. Evidentemente, no simula una TV de tubo ni tiene efectos de postproceso, pero funciona y se ve genial. No he apreciado retardo al jugar en ninguno de los modos de visualización que ofrece. Muy recomendable.

I'll give credit where it's due, the image is actually really clear and sharp which is awesome to see. However image quality isn't consistent, the colours are completely washed out. All of the wonderful vibrate colour pallet is completely destroyed when using this adapter. If you're playing Sonic2, forget about playing split screen. Unplayable as it's all scrambled. With the unplayable split screen and the colours all wash out, this is a hard pass and return. Save your money and get something else.
