Great pot
I bought this because I get tired of taking my rice cooker out. This one is so much easier. I usually cook around 3 cups of rice at a time and this is perfect. It does not come with instructions. However, the rice to water ratio is the same as you would for a regular rice pot, and I cook 3 cups of rice for 16 minutes. I guess it would depend on your microwave. The rice does not stick to the pot if you put a drop of olive oil. Cleans very easy dishwasher safe.

Only for those who don’t already have a proper electric rice cooker.
I already have a mini electric rice cooker, but I was hoping to get something that’s simpler to use and quicker to cook rice with. When I saw this microwave rice cooker, I had high hopes that this is what I was looking for. With very little instructions provided, I resorted to online recipes, but still took me a few tries to get it right. On my final try, the rice was good enough, but still not consistently nor evenly cooked. Personally, it’s still not as good as rice cooked in my proper rice cooker, which is softer and fluffier than this microwave one. I also miss the non-stick pot in my electric cooker. I had to soak this plastic pot for 10 minutes before I could wash it, which was kind of inconvenient. With all said and done, I really didn’t think it was that much quicker to cook rice in a microwave. I had to stay close to the microwave, take it out half way through cooking, stir, and reset the cook times, clean up the spills, etc. As opposed to one click on an electric cooker and then forget it. This is definitely not as simple as I hoped for. Then once it’s cooked, the piping hot lid has no handle or proper grab points to lift it off which is quite annoying. All in all, this microwave rice cooker is better for folks without a proper electric rice cooker. If you already have one, I think it’s actually simpler with more consistent results to just use an electric one. Anyway, still worth trying it out, so now I know.

No Instructions
Well, I was very exited to receive this order but it failed my expectations. There were no instructions at all, so I decided to return it since I don’t know how to make the rice, veggies, or pastas in it. Waste of time.

Good rice cooker, but no instructions included
The rice cooker seems to be of good quality, but no instructions are included. I ended up Googling and using the Cook's Illustrated method (1 1/2 cups rice, 2 1/4 cups of water, 5 minutes on high, 15 minutes on 50% power, 5 minute rest). It probably needed another minute at 50% (I was cooking long grain brown rice) to be perfectly done. It also did boil over so maybe the right amount is 1 cup of rice and a little less than 2 cups of water. Anyway, the cooker seems to be of good quality but some instructions would certainly be helpful.

No rice measuring cup or recipe book
I will be returning this since there is no rice measuring cup or recipe book, and the pot has no measurements inside or outside.
