Progresso Woodless Aquarell Coloured Pencils (Set of 48)

I already own the impressive 72 Mondeluz set and the non soluble Progresso's so was curious to see how these sticks performed. I had hoped that they were like the Mondeluz - but bigger- so was surprised to find that these worked very differently. They are opaque, highly staining and look more like ink or gouache when wetted. This makes them perform more like Derwent's Inktense than a watercolour. I found they laid down smoothly and quickly, were highly pigmented and wore down slowly . The coating keeps your hands clean, they dissolve easily and there is little colour shift from wet to dry. They work really well on black paper - see photo- and seem good for design and mixed media. 16 have 4 or 5 star ratings for colour fastness on a scale of 1-5, which is roughly the same as Inktense, and you get about three times more pigment for your money than with them. I liked using these, enjoying the ability to quickly lay down large areas of colour smoothly and feel the texture and range of colours is good. Bearing in mind that these are not watercolour pencils, I would recommend these as a preferable and economical alternative to Inktense.

Love, love, love them! I have the koh I noor mondeluz 72 wood pencils and the 12 progresso woodless pencils (see my other reviews) and I have wanted these for ages and decided to splash out and buy them and they are sooo worth it. They are soft, give fabulous colour that is vibrant and almost ink like, there is no scratchiness, very smooth and a good range of colours including reds that are actually red and not orange! They come in a good solid tin with two layers inside.The only fault is that there isn't a bigger set!

Love these!!!!!!!! The colours are rich, you can draw with them, and leave as is, or wash over them. You can also wipe the pencils with a wet brush (or the water brushes) and get colour off to paint with. There is no wood surround, so great value. Only thing - be careful on hard surfaces, if you drop them they can snap, as there is no wood. But that is in extreme cases - they are brilliant!

I love these pencils. They are amazing and I keep buying more! Colours are so pigmented and easy to use! Only bad thing is that the tin was dented when it arrived but I believe this is down to poor delivery service, not poor sellers. I recommend these pencils to everyone, amazing!

These are everything you expect from Koh I noor. They come nicely packaged in a square tin & are satisfactually heavy. You can use them wet or dry & each have their own benefits. They blend well & have a creamy texture. The colours are unique & beautiful. Love them!

Not a patch on Inktense but a great deal cheaper. Good for older children or beginners, an economical but not excellent buy.

Sono matite composte dal solo colore, senza legno. Diametro sottile, molto fini, buone tonalità, mina fin troppo dura. Sono buone per stendere i colori in zone ampie. La gamma cromatica è completa, si possono realizzare ritratti, paesaggi e tanto altro, tuttavia avrei gradito più di 48 colori, avrei comprato un set da 60 se fosse esistito. Le scritte sulle matite sembrano stampate con una stampante anni '80, può essere divertente ma esteticamente poco accattivante, hanno uno stile molto retrò. Davvero carina la scatola quadrata in metallo. Tenendo conto che le matite classiche con il legno sono più duttili, non le sostituirei ad esse ma le affiancherei soltanto. Trovo interessante che il colore sciolto nell'acqua sia praticamente incollato al foglio, il risultato è simile alle inktense, che comunque hanno una qualità enormemente superiore a queste. Ottime però, sia da sole che affiancandole a inktense o matite classiche per la bella gamma di colori chiari e intensi. E poi costano poco.

I think these are nice. There soft, rewet really easily. Nice colors. I think they'd be nice just as a color pencil especially sense there so soft. I'd recommend them.

Ich male nun schon lange Malbücher aus und wollte nun mal selber malen. Die Beschreiben dieser Stifte hat mich schon begeistert, zumal das Vollmiene sind, ohne Holz. Also habe ich die Stifte bestellt und gleich noch ein informatives Buch dazu. Heute kam alles an und wurde auch gleich getestet. Die Stifte sind phantastisch. Durch die Vollmiene sind die Stifte angenehm schwer, liegen gut in der Hand. Die Stifte sind nummeriert, haben hinten zur Farberkennung eine eine entsprechende Lackversiegelung und sind auch im ganzen lackiert und so bleiben die Hände sauber. Bei der Lieferung waren alle Stifte gut angespitzt und es war keiner gebrochen. Sie machen soweit einen stabilen Eindruck. Man sollte trotzdem darauf achten das die Stifte nicht runter fallen und für jüngere Kinder sind sie auch nicht geeignet. Die Farben sind kräftig und der Abrieb ist weich. Je kräftiger man die Stifte aufdrückt um so kräftiger wird die Farbe, geht man dann mit einem nassen Pinsel drüber leuchten die Farben erst richtig. Je sachter man malt um so pastelliger werden sie. Ich kann diese Stifte wirklich nur empfehlen und wünsche viel Spaß beim malen :)

Je connaissais déjà cette marque pour laquelle j'ai déjà pas mal d'articles, mais je ne connaissais pas les Progresso. Ils sont très bien. Peuvent s'utiliser à sec et sont suffisamment gras pour être comparés aux Prismacolors les mélanges se font avec une grande facilité. Aquarellés, la pigmentations restent vivent. Toutefois, il faut faire attention à ne pas repasser trop avec le pinceau au risque d'atténuer le pigment. Je ne savais pas comment les tailler, car ils s'arrondissent assez vite, mais vu leur finesse, un taille crayons tout simple fait parfaitement l'affaire.
