To make Frankincense water, it is best to use green Hojari.

At The Royal Incense we are offering frankincense resins from Boswellia Sacra; which finest and most highly prized frankincense resin is produced by the Boswellia sacra species, which grows in Oman. Oman has a reputation for producing superior-quality Frankincense resin.

We take great pride in all our resins, thus ensuring they are carefully separated by its color size and smell. The Omani’s have their own grading system which works for them. However The Royal Incense we do not follow normal grading system as there is no set standard. Omani Boswellia Sacra Frankincense that we spend time grading on. Grading can be a very complex task, as every harvest produces different qualities. It takes 8 hours a day to grade a 40 kg sack. Firstly, all the powder is removed by sieving it from the resins. Simultaneously all the smaller granules are too removed out. Then all the tree bark and any other bits such as stones and twigs. Followed by the deep concentration of separating every piece by shape color size begins in natural daylight. The light must be right for us to bring out the best in quality. Too bright and all the colors look the same, too dull and you cannot see all the colors. We look out for our rare Green Hojari Frankincense, which has amazing medicinal properties, that we call as Hojari quality ( Hojari grade). The other grade (Premium Quality) are then sorted into basket which are then packed into our pouches. Sometimes the baskets have to be re-graded to ensure that our resins stay constant in quality. However as all our resins are 100% natural and organic and there will always be slight differences in quality and appearance with every new batch of Frankincense.

We directly source it from the farmer, which not only ensures farmers financial stability, but also farmers earn and expect to have a stable income and plan for their future.
