Not like a beef stew flavor but more like a demi glace sauce flavor. I sometimes use it for the sauce over the hamburger as gravy, too. It’s a nice change from the beef stew.

Having made Japanese curry for a while, got this beef sauce roux to expand the range of recipes available to make up when the need arises. Works very similar to other S&B products with easy to follow instructions. Is very tasty and flavorful, especially when it gets cold out and you need something hot to help warm a person up. Similar to a mixture of gravy and certain sauces in many ways is the best way to describe it. Served with beef and vegetables works wonders and definitely recommend, especially when there isn't an Asian market nearby to get such items. Will definitely look about getting more in the future.
