Fit For Purpose
Decent small 2'' * joist hangers for low load bearing timbers, and Great value for money * If installing ex-2" joists / beams (regularised) , squeeze the hanger sides together with a clamp, to close the hanger width gaps.

Good alternative to Angle brackets
These are really good, feel a little thin or even flimsy however they are easy to use and strong when screwed in. I have them holding up joists on a large shed and no problems at all.
