I need it to protect my strawberries, but the patch has gotten very "wild", how should I apply this?

Just sprinkle a small amount on the dirt before a rain or watering. You can't put it down and leave it as it needs water to activate.

I just read that this has been found to kill earthworms. Does anyone know if that's true? I'm thinking of canceling my order.

If it is then it definitely wouldn't be considered effective at killing worms. My garden is full of them and still stumble upon them stealing a drink from my beer traps at night. The bait they don't bother nor do their numbers decrease where applied. Slugs on the other hand love this stuff. Ever seen a slug in a hurry? They come running for the bait. Beer traps and diatomaceous earth later this product is what finally knocked back the slugs to the point the logs in my garden actually have a chance to produce mushrooms(which is why they're there). Prior to application the primordia(think mushroom sprouts) were being eaten as quickly as they appeared

What are the "inert ingredients"?

It's just iron granules. It is safe for wildlife and it also greens up any plants or grass. I do not have any hosta damage at all. I apply it every 2 weeks and water it in.

I've tried ortho buga geta, sluggo, and no help really. does this stuff really work? thanks in advance....truly...

Before I got garden and snail bait I used the "beer traps" they worked for a while but not long term. When I used this product I could tell within 3 days that my Hostas looked healthier and greener. I say Yes! This stuff really works. And it has not killed or burnt any of my plants.. I hope this helps!
