Would these be strong enough to be tied together and used as a rope for scaling a wall?

I found that with my socks tied together I couldn't move my feet sufficiently to climb the wall. I'm trying again tomorrow with a new plan involving tying them to a pogo stick.

why has this product switched from mostly cotton to polyester?...terrible!!

For what it’s worth, here is the product makeup for the two twelve-packs of these that I just received (January 3, 2020): Cotton: 79% Polyester: 16% Natural latex rubber: 3% Spandex: 1% Nylon: 1% It’s worth noting that the contents list is on a sticker affixed to the plastic packaging, not on the packaging itself. The sticker isn’t covering another contents list; I checked. This implies to me that the contents may change from time to time.

I have been buying hanes big and tall socks for about 20 years and were very happy with them. Now they are painfully tight. What happened ? Why ?

We had the same problem. My husband has also worn these socks for over 20 years and when I bought two packs of them in the store we had to give them to a young nephew because they were so small and tight. My husband is only a size 10, but has muscular calves so they are a little larger, he wore them one day at work and his feet were numb when he got home. They cut the blood circulation to his feet off. I was going to buy the larger size but I see that's not even going to help because they're going to be just as tight. Hanes what you're doing is ridiculous and sad. You're losing longtime customers.

Better feel than the "X-Temp" ones and fit below size well

Having previously not had a good experience with the Hanes size 6-12 ones, these are what I've been looking for! I wear a UK size 9 (US size 10) trainer and have quite wide feet, and the "Big and Tall" US size 12-14 fit me really well, if a tad roomy in the toe area. However, I expect some shrinkage over time due to washing cycles, so they'll probably end up fitting spot on. These feel thicker than the "X-Temp" ones but are still comfortable; hopefully they're more durable, too. So far, so good - just like the Hanes socks I'm used to!

This sock is thinner than gold toe or other athletic socks. The fit is very good. I usually get about 15 - 20 wearings before they lose their form. I like these socks for non-winter months and go to the thicker sock in cold weather

I have a size 12 foot. Now that's not abnormal, but they are very wide and I've always had an issue finding a sock with a good fit These socks are fantastic. I've pretty much gone to exclusively wearing them. Very comfortable The only thing is they don't clean up to nice in the wash but that's fine. I only care about comfort for socks
