I bought this for my 6 year old grandson. Everything was really nice - the rod, reel, net, lures, carrying bag. He feels like a grown-up and not a little kid like he did with his Spider-Man rod and reel. The tackle box was a little small and flimsy but overall for the price this product is a great bargain! Now my son wants one. He is 51.

Our 5 year old daughter has been begging us to buy her a fishing pole but all I expected to be able to find that was a manageable size for her was a toy rod/reel that wouldn’t really hold up on a fishing trip. I was intrigued that this one could collapse into a small package and came with everything you’d need to get started, and after getting it was surprised to see how well made it seems to be. It extends to be quite long but is light and she’s able to handle it well. She’s super excited about it and her two year old brother is already running around with it too - they’re pretty eager to go fishing with grandad and test out the new fishing pole. I think ease of use with the single button and short handle will be perfect for her, plus the kit came with little pamphlet with kid-friendly instructions on tying a decent fishing knot and other helpful/fun tips. Really satisfied with the purchase!

For the price, this product is great. We got it for our son who is an enthusiastic up-and-coming fisherman. He's actually caught a few fish with this rig. Aside from the basic issues that you would expect from a cheap rod, this unit is fine. For people who complained about its cheap construction - we haven't had major problems. We've taken it out probably a dozen times with no major issues.

My son is in LOVE. I honestly didn't expect the fishing rod and products to be as good as they are. The fishing rod is very strong and we'll built. I love the bag that everything can fit into. The tacklebox and all of the supplies and also the net was just an amazing add on. I have not one bad thing to say. Also they give you a paper with videos you can look up on YouTube to see exactly how to work the fishing rod for kids to watch. I thought that was really nice. All in all I am very pleased with everything and highly recommend everyone yo buy this! It comes ready to go, you dont have to go buy anything extra! Edit- the fishing rod don't work not one bit!! absolute waste of money. I suggest not buying it and wasting a cent on it. I along with several other people tried to get it to work and it won't do a thing. you can't cast it. you can't do anything with it but look at it. the only thing he got use out of was the little tackle box that he used with another fishing rod I had to buy.

For starters it will not cast past 1 foot. It takes forever to reel in and the line gets tangled nonstop. I got this for my son to use in our backyard he was super excited about receiving it and unfortunately the product does not work I will be returning for a refund.
