This really is a great guitar song chord book. I own a few books like this one, and they generally are pretty basic and have a few mistakes in them - or are just not clearly laid out. This book is the exception. It's really clearly laid out. Has some popular around the camp fire songs. Uses correct and sometimes interesting chord progression/changes/choices etc. Really enjoying going through this book. Especially as I'm not proficient at chords and have never really been able to sit down and play popular songs for folk to sing along to.

Plenty of classics to master

I got a copy of this to use at singing lessons. It's amazing value for money. It has a ton of songs in it. It has songs for both male and female singers, although I would say more songs originally done by male artists. This doesn't really matter though if you are able to transpose music into a different key to suit your range. This book was so popular my singing teacher also went and bought a copy. Looking forward to checking out other books in the series.

Lots of choice of songs, a good variety

Not bad

I can play reasonably well, know a few chords and can play a bar chord, but I never bothered to learn many songs. Got this book on a Friday and by Sunday I could probably play 10 songs through (songs that I know, but not how to play). Can't vouch for their accuracy but for a living room player and probably a basic busker it's great. I'd like to have some more details on how to play songs which are not just strummed but the clue is in the book title - it's not really for that. Youtube can probably fill in the gaps. If I had had this, or something similar, years ago I would be a much better guitar player now

Great book - would be nice to have strumming patterns. Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla Can't believe Amazon want you to write more words before you can submit- hence bla bla!

Some years ago I bought the earlier edition called "The Big Acoustic Chord Songbook" which was so good I decided to treat myself for this one and haven't been disappointed as it is excellent value for money and having been improved with the spindle binding which allows you to open the songbook flat whilst playing. Amazon appear to have had this book advertised wrongly as a "German Lanuage Edition" which was not noticed until just after ordering and I was unable to cancel it. I was a bit miffed and ready to return it when it arrived and opened it all was well.
