The Sak womens Sequoia Leather Hobo

I've bought many purses for everyday use and I have finally found my dream shoulder bag!! We all have our certain style of purse we love and when we find it with everything all in one, well that's this purse for me! I bought the Indigo Sak Sequoia Hobo that came with a teal lining inside. My purse is full of the items I always carry in my photos. The keys are in the outside zippered photo, then the amount of keys sitting next to the purse in next photo. I like a fixed shoulder handle, no buckle adjustment please! And just 1 solid handle, not 2 or 3, I only need one to go over my shoulder. Contrary to other reviews, this Sak handle does not slip off my shoulder. Actually, I've never had a bag slip off my shoulder. This handle is almost 1" wide and 1/4" thick, nice and sturdy. Comfortably long enough (23" including the rings) for my 5'5" height. I want a purse with one slot inside to dump my stuff in, not a split down the middle and a zipper so I have to remember which area I store my items. No decorations all over the outside of bag for me - no chains, circles, squares, and no buckles... no extra metal or leather decorations, no extra sewed on wallet or sectional outside, just keep it simple, please! The little key chain dangle decoration is cute but debatable, I may remove that. Then the extras on this bag that make it great.... 1) It's taller than most bags, an extra 2-3" taller which means deeper for when you have a few extra items to carry on an outing. 2) It's slouches so it doesn't look as tall, that means the leather is really soft. 3) Taller also means 2 deeper open pockets inside where I keep my pens, receipts, coupons, lists, coin purse, etc. My Samsung S10 cell phone with Otter Box fits easily in either of these 2 pockets. Also, a deeper roomier zippered pocket inside for all those little items I carry around. 4) The large & deep ONLY 1 zipper (yeah! less metal decorations) on the outside, where all you see is the zipper with no pocket outline. No one can tell what's being stored in the pocket, meaning the leather, stitching, and design are outstanding. I keep my multiple sets of keys in there and no one can tell if anything is even in the pocket! That's pretty awesome! 5) And the big bonus - the phone slot on the outside! (Not another zipper, less metal!!) My Samsung S10 with a bulky Commuter Otter Box Cover fits easily in there for a convenient place to grab it when the phone rings. A simple, roomy, no extra decorations shoulder bag. BEST PURSE EVER! I will be ordering the Stone color when Summer comes around.

For reference: I bought the Sequoia Hobo bag in Indigo. This is the handbag I’ve been searching for my entire life! (I’m in my early 40’s so that’s a long time) I’ve always been able to find a purse that met some of my requirements but never one that ticked ALL the boxes. I’m not even sure I knew what all of my requirements were until I met this handsome bag. The quality is more than adequate, no cheap feel, sturdy zippers and it carries very comfortably. I just adore it! Pro’s: •Soft body (leather) •Goldilocks size, not too big or too small •Single, flat comfortable strap •Strap is perfect length for carrying over the shoulder. (Not too long where it bumps against the hip when walking and not too short as to rest uncomfortably under the armpit.) •One wide zippered main compartment • Light color interior fabric to easily see contents inside. • Multiple interior side pockets for storing smaller items and or to organize for quick access. •Two exterior compartment/pockets. One slim pocket for plus size cell phone and on the other side a wide mouth zippered pocket. •Non fussy exterior with enough small details to add some character and not be completely boring. Cons: I didn’t find it sooner

I own 2 Sequoia bags and brought 2 more as Christmas gifts for my sister and daughter. Both kept saying how much they loved mine. Shoulder strap is comfortable doesn’t slide, love the slit pocket on back for my phone and zipper on front for my car keys. The inside has 2 pockets , zipper pouch for all those things a woman can’t live without. The size is perfect not too big or too small. Beautiful soft leather, expensive looking and the blue azzurro color is gorgeous. And it’s a Sak!

Cute and well made

This purse is the perfect size for me. I usually buy black purses. I’m so glad I got the dusty blue. I have had purses in the past with so many compartments that I could never find anything. This purse is open with a zipper on the side of the inside and then a perfect pocket on the outside to drop your phone into that is deep enough for you to not worry about it falling out. It would be a bit difficult for someone to reach in and grab it too. The leather is soo soft. I like the shorter shoulder strap. One thing I would change, but it’s not that big of a deal is the stitching on the handle faces out. I noticed that when I first got it, but I don’t notice it at all now. You can’t go wrong with this purse. I paid $74.50 I believe.

This bag is soft yet durable, and has a high end appearance. The stitching is well done, the design is well thought out, with pockets for everything. I especially like that the interior zippered pocket is DOUBLE! Genius! It has an easy reach setup so I’m never fumbling for keys or phone or anything else I traditionally lose in the depths of an unorganized purse. The exterior detail is beautiful (better in person - the pics don’t do it justice) and makes this bag easy to take anywhere from grocery shopping to a nice evening out.

When the purse arrived I love it! It’s pretty, light weight, beautiful color, and the leather is nice, but! There was a small stain on the inside of the purse right out of the Amazon box. I decided to do an exchange, it wasn’t a huge deal, but I’d rather not have a stain before I even use it. Here is where the issue is. When the “new” purse arrived, to replace the brand new purse I bought, and ordered an exchange for within minutes of the delivery, the exchange arrived and I was appalled! I opened the bag it was sealed in, and it didn’t have a tag, I found that odd, the tassels on the zippers were frayed, and then I unzipped the purse and found clumps of black human hair!! Nasty! Amazon exchanged my brand new, unused, item that had a small defect with a used item that had been returned!! How is that acceptable?!! I called Amazon and the only choice I was given to correct this was to do a return and refund for the exchange item now and just reorder the item altogether. I hope the new order arrives and is in fact a new, unused item without defect this time, because I truly love the purse, minus the stain. Update: the new order arrived and I am very happy with the purse, though still baffled at Amazon over this ordeal. The purse arrived this time in perfect new condition, is very nice and I am excited to finally use it. I would recommend this item.

Excellent size. Fits my wallet and small make up bag with no problem. Sturdy enough it maintains it’s shape when sitting. Love the soft feel of the leather. Front zipper compartment hold sunglasses, phone and keys easily. Looks really nice. Only “wish” is it had the pegs to keep it slightly elevated off of a surface. Top zipper opens completely to easily access all contents. Love the addition of the side jewelry. Elevates the overall appearance. Love Sak purses

This is a lovely leather purse that can hold everything that I carry. I would say it is medium-sized not too small and not so big that you feel you are carrying around a suitcase or an oversized diaper bag. I would recommend this bag to anyone who wants to carry a classy casual handbag .

Perfect colour (teal blue), well constructed, single strap is so much better worn over-the-shoulder. It is my everyday purse and I am really enjoying it.
