Is this just more money I wasted?
I was hesitant after ordering it. I don't need to bore you with my life story at the moment. I wanted this to supplement my exercise. Something to just keep blood flowing in the legs while I sit here in my recliner. I got it. Set it up. I'm more happy with it than I thought I would be. I looked through all the under desk pedal exercisers. This was the only one I thought would accomodate my shoes. One pedal exerciser said straight forward; not for shoes over 4.25 inches wide. Well this one does well. I admit, I don't like trying to shove my shoes into those straps. I use this without pedal straps for now. It's working just fine. The straps on this one do adjust for a men's size ten shoe. It's nice and quiet. The magnetic resistance works great. It's very sturdy. In fact, it's rock solid. It didn't come with a strap to hold it to your chair. It doesn't need to. It holds the floor well. The mat that comes with it may be better on other surfaces. The rubber feet on the unit hold it better on wood floors. I use it at home in front of my recliner. The recliner rocks while pedaling. The bunji cord straps with handle seemed useless. Until I got it. They are good for keeping blood flowing in arms while pedaling. I'm liking that. I tried out pedaling it with my arms. Works good that way. The magnetic resistance is so smooth and adjustable. Make it easy to dial in just right. To be honest. Doing both pedaling and bunji cords works best for best circulation. It comes with directions to download the app. I'm not much on apps. I may fool with it one day? Just to mention a couple 'glitches" while assembling. The right pedal maybe had a bit more lock tight on the threads. Got through the pedal arm. It got difficult to thread in. Almost as if it was cross threaded. I had too much thread in before it got that way. So just forced it. Came out fine. Fully bottomed out. Other thing is one of the battery holders got folded over. I did it? Wouldn't hold the battery. Looking closely. I pulled the holder piece out and back up. It's working fine now. I'm very happy with this. More so than I thought I would be. I don't think I wasted money on this one. Look forward to many hours of leisurely pedaling. This is to supplement my exercise. I'm in a situation right now where I have to sit too much. This helps alot with aiding circulation. I'm liking it alot.

Great purchase for comfy workouts!
If you're on the fence about getting this - do it! Buy and use it, you will not regret it. I am morbidly obese, and also have a sedentary lifestyle (work from home). Adding more to the equation... I have big feet (they get in the way sometimes!). AND where I want to sit and peddle is a small space in my bedroom office, under a small desk. I've been thinking about getting something like this for a while... but skeptical on its effectiveness (really? my discipline to actually do it). I was able to put it together in under 30 mins (probably would have gone faster, but I was watching a church program too). Its easy! However, I can see where an elderly person or someone with not a lot of arm strength might need assistance. After getting it done, I was peddling at the dining room table while finishing the church mtg - and I love it! Its super quiet and very smooth. I played around with the resistance too... preferring mid-range (side note, I can see where a remote would be cool to change it while peddling, but that's a higher-end model and really not a big deal). Now, don't judge...within 5 mins my heart rate was up and I really felt like I was working out - which is great! I could feel a slight burn in my legs, so I know I was doing my body good. All while comfortably sitting at my dining room table. No need to put on anything special... no difficult-to-impossible or hurtful moves... just smooth peddling at a rate that felt good. Full disclosure, I was peddling bare foot with no issues whatsoever. Oh, and the thing didn't budge on my hard wood floor...stayed put while I peddled away. No pad needed either. I've moved it to under my desk (pic attached)... yes, its a tight fit and I do have to sit back just a bit from my desk so that my knees are clear (but not much). Also, my rolling desk chair isn't ideal... I have to hold the desk to keep from pushing myself back, again not a big deal... works my arms. ;-) The peddling motion is smooth & quiet... could easily do this while on the phone or in a meeting, if my slightly flushed face didn't give me away. lol The plastic straps on the peddles... I don't need them. And with shoes on? Its a struggle to get my feet in. Peddling without straps is super easy... not really needed and can be easily removed. Feels very sturdy, like it should last a good time... I really hope so. Definitely a great purchase!

Convenient for a Bit of Activity
I am a woman in her early 60's. During the spring, summer and fall, I enjoy riding a bicycle outdoors several times a week. My "normal" path is about 10 miles. I tend to pass people riding with children and folks just out for a leisurely ride. I tend to be passed by people wearing jerseys with pockets in the back and lots of logos. On days when I don't ride my bike, I generally take a 3-4 mile walk outdoors. That should give you some idea of my fitness level. I got this pedaler so that I could get a bit of extra activity while I am just sitting on my backside. I've had it for a few days and have used it a couple of times. Here's my take... Assembly is very easy. It is light enough to move around easily yet heavy enough to stay put while using it. The handle makes moving it from room to room very convenient. I only use this machine while seated. I didn't bother with the resistance bands as I want the machine to use while using my hands for other activities. The pedals are not comfortable enough when just wearing socks or bare footed. I wear a pair of Crocs that I don't wear outdoors and they make the pedals comfortable. I did not bother with the pedal straps and have no problem with my feet staying put on the pedals. Using this machine is nowhere near the workout I get from taking my walk or riding a real bicycle but, it does raise my heart rate enough that I start to feel a bit warm while doing it. One would need to have very short legs in order for this to fit under a standard sitting desk and still have enough room for one's legs while using the machine. The pedals are not directly under one's hips when used as they are when riding a typical bicycle. Pedaling on this machine while seated in a chair or sofa is more like riding a recumbent bicycle. The motion is smooth enough that I am able to knit while pedaling. When seated on a stool at a desk intended for standing, I have no problem using a keyboard while pedaling. Overall, this is a nice product. The quality seems decent assuming that it will last. It is certainly better for one's body than just sitting still for hours at a time. It is so quiet that it probably won't bother other people. I'm sure I'll still be passed by those folks in the jerseys with pockets on the back and lots of logos but, at least I don't feel as though I've been a total slug when I spend most of the day knitting.

Nice product - Exercise while you work or watch TV!
Several months ago, my wife heard me complain about knee and leg pain from spending too much time in the house not getting enough physical activity; sitting in a recliner all the time is just not good for the legs. As the primary caregiver for an elderly parent, I couldn't leave the house often and found it difficult to find time to exercise. To remedy this, my wife purchased a MERACH Under Desk Bike Pedal Exerciser and gave it to me as a birthday gift. I love the product and thought it was a great idea! The pedal exerciser allows me to watch TV or work on the computer while pedaling; I can burn some calories and keep my legs moving to avoid the knee pain that can come from being too sedentary. Best of all, the product is quiet so you can use it any time of day or night without bothering others in the house. As it turned out, I needed some assistance with a minor product issue; I wrote to the company and a MERACH Customer Service representative named Jessie provided prompt, courteous and professional help to quickly resolve my product issue. Now I use my MERACH Under Desk Bike Pedal Exerciser daily, love it and would recommend this to anyone who wants a bit of exercise without having to leave their home.

Helps with Restless Legs
Well built exercise bike, but I mostly use when I have a bout with Restless Leg Syndrome. It gives me relief and I can sit on the couch and watch TV while I work my legs. Makes very little noise as you pedal. It is solidly put together and heavy enough that it doesn’t slide around when using, but is easy to pick up and store away.

BUY THIS ONE!
THIS is the one! I wish I could give six stars. I read reviews for all of the under desk peddlers and chose this one because it has the best reviews. I absolutely love it. I highly recommend this peddler. I purchased this after rupturing my ACL. My physical therapist recommended cycling as part of my rehab. I see myself using this long term to increase my physical activity while I am working at my desk. It is sturdy with zero rocking, shifting, or movement while peddling. You can peddle forward and backwards with smooth movements in both directions. There is a wide range on the adjustable tension. It is a hard workout on the highest setting. It is super quiet and appropriate for a shared office at work. Works great under my desk allowing me to pedal while typing. There are a few downsides. It is solid, which makes it heavy. I was still able to carry it 1/4 mile from the parking garage at work to my office. You have to screw the base and pedals on. It wasn’t hard to do, but still an extra step. It doesn’t work well if you are using it while sitting in an office chair with wheels. This isn’t the fault of the peddler, but I had to adapt. I ordered some coasters to put under the wheels to keep my chair in one place. None of these issues should deter anyone from purchasing the peddler. I 100% recommend.

Nice little elliptical/bike.
I have had this for a few months, and I actually really love it. I work from home and put it under my desk, but can also easily move it if I want to use it on the couch. I did find I do need to put my back wheel of my roller chair in a small wheel holder so I don’t roll backward. It really helps my legs not feel so crampy at the end of the day. I got this at a great price…I saw the same/similar at my local large sporting goods store for a much higher price. This really inspired me, and I also recently bought a lat pulldown machine from Amazon, too. The combo has really been beneficial for me. I did get a small elliptical mat to put under it. It weighs enough to be stable but I can still easily move it.

Not a workout, maybe be defective
It’s cute and fits in with my wooden decor. Light enough to move around and build was easy. But this is not a workout. It’s much better than those electric ones that move on its own but at the highest resistance, there is still no resistance. Thankfully I have a gym membership with spin classes if I actually wanted a workout. This is more like a fidget spinner for your feet. My heart rate doesn’t even increase a digit with this. I’ll reach out to see if I have a defective one. Would be nice for people who simply need blood circulation but my heart rate stays in zone 1 the entire time.
