I’ve tried many brands of lump charcoal. This is the best I have found that I use in my Big Green Egg. Whether I’m gelling or smoking this charcoal burns evenly and temperatures are easily maintained at any level depending on what you need for perfect cooking. Gives all meats a great flavor. Very little ash No smoke except when meat is on. Will burn extremely hot when needed, in excess of 900 degrees. Lasts for a long time. I’ve coded for 8 hours smoking brisket without needing to add any more. Once tried you won’t use any other.

Hello, I've purchased two bags of your product so far. The good things are that it smells great, has beautiful smoke, does not pop when lit. Now the bad and I seek some insight here. When I run it on a Weber kettle it does great. When I run it in a UDS drum with Guru assist, i have some real problems. The first run, the drum basket was filled half way (1/2 bag). We couldn't get it to 350 degrees and by the time we did the charcoal ran out. 2nd run. Filled the drum basket 1/2 B&B lump and 1/2 Wicked. Somewhat mixed it. More wicked was on top. Lit the drum and had to set guru to 375 to achieve 350. we thought our guru probe was messed up so we just kept rolling.....after about 3 hours the wicked had all burned up and the B&B took over. Then the drum stabilized and did not move for the next 5 hours (set at 300, held at 300 +/- 10 degrees). Have any of your other customers had this problem? Please advise. After speaking to manufacturer either this stuff is fake or it got damp and they dont even know who Team FTO is or hiw they are selling their products Furthermore, stating that its not returnable due to it being hazardous and flammable is pretty preposterous veing that it was shipped to me to begin with.

There were nice size chunks of hardwood lump in the bag that I received. Unlike other brands, this charcoal was easy to ignite and burned for a long period of time. The meats that we have smoked with this item have turned out very well, the smoke flavor isn't overwhelming.

One of the best charcoal's available. Great flavor, and lights easily. A little pricey, but worth it for long burns. My local bbq shop can no longer get it. Bummed on that, but then there's Amazon. Also try Mangrove, a little cheaper but great quality.

No size control on the lump, mostly small pieces, then some medium sized pieces and some big stuff. When you first fire it up it's smokey as the bear is brown. Terrible if you are concerned about smoking out your neighbors. Wickedly average charcoal. If you want to pay the shipping of Eastern charcoal try and find a 100% Maple for the quality.

This charcoal burned up/through very very quickly. I added more charcoal twice to try and get a decent fire at 400F. Didn't last and had to finish the steaks inside. Not recommended, ever............

Takes a while to start, almost an hour. I can usually get a good one going in about 20-23 min using cheaper stuff that burned much longer.
