Last update: My perfect boy has crossed over the rainbow. I’m happy to say I did all I could + this syrup really added to his care. It got us further than anyone predicted. The leftover bottle my other Yorkie uses when he has episodes of tracheal collapse. A very common -unfortunate issue for small breeds. This syrup is now part of our permanent arsenal of health. First Update: April 2024. My boy has made it to his 16th birthday! We still use this product to adjunct his meds. He suffers from trachea collapse + heart issues. Without this we would have suffered greatly. We are well on 14+ bottles. .. since 2022 First review: My Yorkie is about to make his 15th birthday in a week, and I believe this syrup has really helped us get through the last 5 months of really challenging episodes. We both had many sleepless nights, he mostly restless, honking, coughing, not able to catch his breath.. I thought times I would loose him on the spot crying being helpless. Vets have been a huge let down, they only want to give him hydrocodone and such a tiny amount to take home that inevitably makes us beg for more.. and of course a vets response is "com on in!!"... a few $$$ hund's later.. I couldnt do it again after our last visit was $1k. One night I was desperate searching the internet for something accessible and non narcotic, (I was introduced to Chinese medicine for dogs years ago when I had a Chihuahua with cancer) and I came across this....and it all changed for the better. We are NOW on our 7th bottle... I have been ordering religiously since sept. It has been our only saving grace and my dog just sees the bottle in my hands and sits for it. I originally had dosed it in a syringe but sometimes I had to act out fast and now I just pour a quarter size out on my palm and he licks it off.. It does take a few seconds and he really calms down... both agitation and cough and we ve been sleeping mostly through the night..when he does wake up its now 1x a night... prior to starting this we would be up every hour on the hour through the night and we both were zombies during the day.

This cough syrup is a miracle for my 14 year old poodle. He has gone through his first bottle and due to my lack of organization, I misplaced his second bottle, so I'm ordering replacement today. Charlie looks forward to the 1/4 tsp. I give him when he gets excited and coughs. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but our fur baby is worth it. Before I bought PawHealer Cough Syrup, Charlie was awake all night coughing. That was really rough. My baby is almost 19 years old. She is in kidney failure and requires fluids twice a day. She has had a collapsed trachea for a while, and it has always been treated with the same medication. Once we found out she was in kidney failure, that medication was no longer an option because of her kidneys. The vet first gave her a round of antibiotics and then another. She was coughing so hard it hurt me. It sounded like she was coughing up a hairball. I researched options. There was a surgery, expensive but I was desperate. My vet said because of her age she would not be a good candidate. My last chance was some prescription cough medicine with hydrocodone. It must have tasted horrible. She fought me every dose and I never noticed much improvement. We were up all night. I was bawling my eyes out. She had been a rescue. 5 when I got her. She had been through so much and I was going to have to let her go because she was tired of coughing. She finally dozed off and I went to the internet for help. I searched Amazon and found this miracle! I read review after review… it was a bit pricey but if it gave her a chance it would be more than worth it to me. Thankfully my baby, a small, so it may cost a lot, but it lasts a little longer for her. I am happy to report she sometimes goes days without coughing. If she has one coughing spell I’ll give her a dose morning and night and she’s fine for a while. I cannot think they manufacture enough for the comfort you have given my baby. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her. It honestly worked for us. We still take 3 pills a day and fluids twice a day but she’s still got a little puppy spirit and is enjoying life again. Go ahead buy it. It’s worth a shot at getting your baby some relief. I pray it works for you like it has for us ❤️❤️❤️

I don't know if it actually helps in my dog's case. He still seems to cough a lot, but I don't think it's a trachea problem. I believe he is allergic, probably to the other dogs he's surrounded by. I give it to him and he has no problem licking it up. I recommend the product because I believe it will work on the trachea issue.

Since receiving this product my dog’s symptoms have actually increased and of course they do not stand by their products and don’t offer a refund. COMPLETE waste of money! Do yourself a favor and save your money and don’t waste it on this crap!

I am SHOCKED. I shouldn’t be based on the reviews but you always think it won’t work for us. Well it did!!!! My dog is 15 with a collapse trachea. He occasionally gets throat infections from it and has to get antibiotics. Sometimes two rounds of antibiotics and is given hydrocodone which I hate to give him especially during the day. Even at night I didn’t think it made a significant difference. I tried this hoping for the best. It has made a SIGNIFICANT change in my dogs cough. His energy level. Everything. He feels and sounds SO much better. His cough is not completely gone but it has only been two days and I see such a difference. I have such a relief seeing my baby feeling so much better. It was so hard to watch him cough and all the vet visits. It did give him some diarrhea but did not upset his stomach appetite wise vomiting etc. thank god. This stuff is incredible. I hope the owners read this and I can tell them thank you from the bottom of my heart I’m so grateful. Please don’t hesitate to buy this!!!!!!

Helped with their persistent cough (collapsing trachea) but when our Poodle got blood work her glucose levels ended up over 500. Way too much honey in this. Why is everything except the ingredients in English? Sure it’s “Chinese herbs” but not all of it is herbs I’m sure and don’t they have English names too? Super suspicious now.
