Replacement Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Mounting Bracket for Sony PlayStation 3 - 2.5" 2.5 Inch Hard Disk Drive HDD Mounting Bracket Caddy for PS3 Super CECH-400x Series

I decided to update my PS3 to a higher storage HDD, when the HDD arrived (purchased from another site) I realized that I needed one of these caddies, after scouring the usual sites I found this one (the genuine Sony one retails at between £15 to £20). this is a perfect replacement and fits and works faultlessly (why buy a Sony box, as that's the only difference "the Packaging") am very happy and the ps3 is now upgraded.

Usable, but quality could be better. At the top outer end of the bracket there is a swivelling door that can be pulled outwards at one side (once the single securing screw is removed) giving you something to pull with your fingers to get the disc drive out of the PS3. On my bracket the the rivets securing the 'door' were of poor quality with little or no collar to hold the metal door securely to the main bracket structure whilst also allowing it to swivel outwards when required. I almost sent the bracket back but wasn't sure a replacement would be any better. So, I made a DIY fix myself.

I used this to add a solid state disk to my PS3 12GB. Fits in the slot under the right side panel. After adding the disk the PS3 prompts to copy your data from the 12GB flash to the new disk and everything works a treat.

It brilliant and fits well in the ps3 but I had to buy the screws separately as they didn’t come with this item even though the picture shows it dose.

Not much you can say about a piece of metal and five screws, but does its job perfectly. As others have pointed out, the screws are quite soft, so be careful not to round them.

I chose this bracket because it was cheaper than the ps3 version. It worked perfectly, at the end of the day it's a metal bracket, it does what it says. I used it on my super slim PS3. Also delivery time was fantastic plus handy instructions inside for the tech retard's like myself.

Outstanding... all customers like their buying products to be delivered exactly what the product description says and this is one of those cases. Delivered as expected, mount bracket and screws are correct. 100% PS3 fit. I'm a happy costumer. FIVE STARS.

Todo correcto, encaja solo en mi ps3 Super slim y viene preparado con sus tornillos para poner un disco de 2.5 y a la ps3 Super slim.

Facile da montare

cumple su función perfectamente, para poder poner un disco duro en mi ps3 superslim, viene con 5 tornillos, 4 para el anclaje del hdd y uno para que no se mueva de su sitio, me vino en una cajita blanca bien embalada. puse un disco duro de 1tb y me fue perfecto.
