Expanded my grandson's laptop memory. Worked well, just one job I wish I hadn't started. Why do manufacturers make laptops so you have remove the whole damn motherboard just to replace the memory?

I purchased the Timetec 8GB DDR3L module specifically to upgrade my Synology DS216+ NAS, and the performance difference has been absolutely brilliant. Out of the box, the standard DS216+ comes with only 1GB of memory. This can quickly become a bottleneck if you run multiple background tasks, run surveillance cameras, or utilise Docker containers. Fitting this 8GB module completely transforms the machine by maximising its memory capacity. The web interface is considerably snappier, and the extra unused RAM acts as a fantastic system cache to help speed up general file transfers. A quick word of warning for anyone attempting this: accessing the single memory slot requires a bit of disassembly. You must first remove the hard drives, unscrew the fan grille at the back, and carefully pry the casing apart to reach the motherboard. However, once you are inside, swapping the module is straightforward. Upon rebooting, the NAS recognised the full 8GB immediately without any compatibility warnings or stability issues. I am very happily giving this a five-star rating. It is highly recommended for anyone looking to squeeze a few more years of top-tier performance out of their older DiskStation!

The DIMM was protectively and securely packaged. I've got it installed and running over 24 hours without issue. As a replacement upgrade its worth it. Happy with the purchase.

Memory for I mac. Works perfectly and fair price.

Upgraded my Asus laptop using this, not the easiest job, but fitting the new DDR3 was simple enough just slots in when the other slides out. Doubled my ram!

Easy RAM upgrade. Hasn't failed in 3 years

I love tinkering with old PC and laptops, but I'm far from being an expert. I have this old Lenovo G50-30 that had Linux on it, but I recently put Chrome Flex OS on it to bring it back to life a bit. It wasn't bad, just a bit slow. Instead of buying a new system for work, I had an idea - what if you could upgrade the RAM inside the laptop? I had a google and saw that you can upgrade it fairly easily. Found this stick of RAM for a great price, 8GB instead of the stock 4GB. Even though I can't change the processor (it's soldered to the motherboard) I figured an inexpensive RAM upgrade would be worth a try. All I had to do was remove the backplate (three screws) and pop the old RAM stick out, and push this one into its place. Reapplied the screws, powered on the laptop -- and it's SIGNIFICANTLY quicker. I can load up new browser tabs with ease and the loading time is half what it used to be. Makes working on it a breeze! I urge you to give it a go!

Extended laptop, back to full speed again

Installed this 8GB DDR3L RAM in my older laptop and it worked right away with no issues. The performance improvement was noticeable everything feels smoother, especially with multitasking. I like that it supports both 1.35V and 1.5V, which makes it more flexible for compatibility. So far it’s been stable with no crashes. Great value if you’re looking to upgrade an older system.

It does very well the job! It's a good RAM memory, it pairs well with my old Kingstone in my old MSI Laptop.

Mémoire achetée pour compléter la RAM de 8Gb présente dans mon HP Pavillon Gamer d'un modèle tout à fait équivalent afin de passer la capacité à 16Gb. Elle fonctionne parfaitement.
