Unfortunately yes. This strap is so hard to fit. I couldn’t get it onto my Huawei watch GT3 Pro its very,, very tight. I had to return it. I imagine if you could get it onto your watch there would be no gaps

How Is this better than a cheap strap?

It's better quality. Thicker and fits to the watch with the curve next to the pins. also has a clever way of locking the strap. Had one for a couple weeks and it's spot on
