When buying this mat, I was unsure about the sizing and thickness. Being that in a teen I wasn't sure if 4 inches would be thick enough to catch my impact. I looked at the 8 inch thick ones and the price was way too high, so I decided to buy this mat. It works great! The size is a little small as expected, and will probably have to put a yoga. Mat on each side for safety just in case. I use this for gymnastics and has already helped me get new skills on the floor. The size forces me to go straight if I want to land on the mat, which is a good thing. This mat is soo soft that I could probably even sleep on it too lol. Would definitely recommend to anyone on a tight budget that needs a soft and comfortable landing.

A needed purchase if you want your child to be as safe as possible High quality product. I like the feature that allow the pads to be connected end to end. When our four year old gets bigger we will purchase another to have more practice space. Well worth the money. I never cut corners on safety and this product doesn’t either.

I bought two of these pads for my children because they are highly into gymnastics and stunt tricks. I bought these a little concerned about how durable these would hold up for such a purpose, but now that I have had them for a month I have yet to notice any appearance of wear or tear after seeing four teenage boys doing flips and tricks on them day after day. They take them outside on the lawn and will play on them for hours. They hold up in water (and yes I tested it) so they are not very water absorbent and they are mildly plush, just a bit stiffer than a typical mattress and are a perfect size for doing basic exercises on. They fold in half making them easy to store in the garage or just in a closet somewhere and pull them out when needed. Highly recommend that you get these. They are a great deal for their price and shipping was reasonably fast... they actually showed up two days early!!!

Bought this for the kiddos to use during quarantine. After a few weeks of use, the kids haven't replicated any of the quality issues I saw in other reviews. Also was one of the only ones I found that fits between the uprights of our squat rack/pull up rig in the garage, making for a nice soft landing when the kids are horsing around on it.

We've been using one, now two, as a crash pad for a group of four adults for two to three hours a week for over a month now and it has been wonderful. We are using these on my patio/deck in my back yard, over the top of some basic 1.5" puzzle mats. The deck is part concrete patio/part wood and provides no give or bounce. Landing on the puzzle mats over this deck/patio can be a little rough at times, but these crash mats removed the hard impact feeling and with that the guilt from throwing training partners repeatedly with some of the bigger throws. I would not describe it as squishy, but it has enough give for solid throws. It's less squishy than my clubs Zebra crash pads. They are very easy to clean, fold up nicely for storage, and are not heavy or difficult to move. Things to keep in mind; At times uke's feet would land on the other side of the mat so we've added another one to make a 6' square. Also if you're thinking of using these outside then some shade will be needed, under direct sun they will get very hot. The velcro on them is used more to hold them shut when in storage. You can use the velcro to attach two pads together but it would be along the short edge. (3x12) We picked up generic velcro strips to hold these together in a 6x6 shape.

I think overall, for its price this is a very decent crash mat. It's not completely soft, so I wouldn't feel comfortable practicing a completely new skill, but if you expect to land on your knees, butt or back (aka not face), it is definitely sufficiently padded. Example skills I have practiced are front flips, side flips, and handstands. It looks very durable and I haven't seen any damage to it yet even though I frequently take it outside. My only issue is the clunkiness of carrying it around, which could have been resolved with a simple handle on the side. However, if you have a car or will only be carrying it for 5-10 minutes at a time, this won't be a concern.

Ordered for use in a game room with 8’ climbing wall. Placed on carpeted floor and work perfect. Love the subtle color as well - matches perfect with carpet.
