I bought these to mess around with using my laser. I have a Jtech 24W diode laser installed on an old CNC machine in my cabinet shop. These cards are really 0.4 mm thick. That seems a nice thickness that won't bend badly. I've seen other cards that are listed as 0.2mm thick and I think those would seem very thin. They engrave fine. Since I'm just doing this for myself I've not tried to do it as fast as possible. I found a setting that worked and stuck with it. I've been engraving them at 120 Inches Per Minutes at 50% power. I'm sure I could go faster is I wanted to, but that is fine. They are messy after they have been engraved. They need cleaned to get the burnt paint dust off them. I just threw them in the sink and washed them all off. I don't think any harsh chemicals are needed. I've attached two photos, one with a card after engraving and one with the card cleaned up a little. I use these to give to my best clients. Repeat customers and other people I work with a lot. That way they can easily find my card. The only reason I knocked off a star was the way they were delivered. They are only wrapped in some weak plastic. My cards all came undone and were thrown everywhere in the box. I'm sure I lost some through the gaps in the cardboard box. Only a few were scratched up so bad I couldn't use them. Since they are heavy and have sharp edges they should be packaged together better.
