Beautiful
As always Loish’s art is stunning. This is her 3rd book in the series and all are equally helpful. I wouldn’t call this a tutorial book even though there are just a few tutorials. It’s more about educational techniques and artistic rule-of-thumbs that are to help your overall skills instead of learning to draw one character in one pose. Many of the lessons I would consider advanced (things you learn about in art school), but don’t be intimidated if you are new. These techniques are foundational and helpful to learn early. Having had similar education as Loish, I can compliment her on her thoroughness and ability to visually show you the concepts each lesson is teaching. She teaches art like an animator, and in my honest opinion, those are the best art teachers. They approach art like a key frame instead of a stagnant image, and this book does just that. Final thoughts: would recommend this book to anyone who is still learning and growing in art. You may know some things, but there’s always something to learn from any artist.
