12 Inch Medical Spinal Goniometer Measurer – 360° ISOM Calibrated Scales – Physical Therapy Rehab & Recovery Essential Orthopedic Angle Protractor for Measuring Range of Motion

I learned about the goniometer at physical therapy for my knee but my brain is always in motion. I actually bought the goniometer as a quilting ruler - a protractor for setting the exact angles for quilting a replica of the stained glass window in my church. Now many of my quilting friends are buying them since I shared it with them. It's all about marketing. My quilting friends and I are ecstatic! My knee is not.

I didn't get this for Orthopedic use, I use it for construction use such as finding and repeating angles for cuts in lumber, etc.. It's a fairly sturdy plastic, the markings are easy to read and the rivet is fastened tightly so the angle measurement you selected will remain stationary as you use it. For me, it's a handy device to have in the toolbox, and I'm sure it's just as useful for it's originally marketed (Orthopedic) purpose.

I'm happy with this product. I like that it has inches along both arms so I can do the functional reach test. Nice thick plastic. Opens and closes smoothly.

This 12” goniometer works just as intended. It is made of sturdy, but flexible plastic (about the thickness of a credit card) and is very easy to read. It rotates 360 degrees, so you can measure any angle on a body, or you could use it to measure angles or lengths (up to 19”) for carpentry, arts & crafts or anything else that requires measuring. Despite the fact that the product works fine, I cannot recommend it at the current price of $17.99. Amazon currently has a listing for what appears to be a functionally identical device (brand: Frienda) for $8.59. That’s what this product should cost. For $8.59, this would be a 5-star product, but at the current price of $17.99, it merits only 3 stars.

This goniometer works fine and is helpful in measuring my ability to bend my knee after surgery

I do arts and crafts and end up using a lot of different things to make cuts and designs and this has come in helpful for larger projects since I only had the 6 inch, thus 12 inch is a step up. This is smooth on the swivel and thick plastic. You can see through both inches and centimeters. Definitely a useful tool for school and other disciplines.

This is a very nice and well made piece of medical measuring equipment... It is easy to read and the the parts stay in place until manually moved which means under normal use there is no creeping.
