Is 5.88 (Deep Red) an auburn color or darker? or is it a wine color?

Because I have dark hair to begin with, it comes out a very dark auburn. I would suppose it depends on your own hair color. If it's a light shade, the 5.88 Deep Red, may come out more red than auburn.

Does this work on black hair?
