Great Part, Great Price - Bad Fit Data from Amazon
I love the product... Genuine Bosch for a fraction of the cost of the Genuine Bosch that has Bosch numbers on one side and a three pointed star on the other. I bruised the heck out of my hand reaching the sensor and getting it out and reinstalled as it is a very tight fit between the firewall and cylinder head. But, the savings over taking the car to the dealer was huge as it would have been $500 with them. Be sure to have your E8 star socket, long extensions and U joint extension. Once installed and torqued properly to 8 N-m (per the Benz service DVD) I cleared the code and the car is running great with no more long crank times to start and no more check engine light. The product is great, but I have a couple gripes about Amazon on this...1) I ordered relatively early on a Sunday and paying $3.99 extra for over night shipping was not offered as it usually is with Prime. Instead, all that was offered was my "Free Two Day" shipping which didn't have the item delivered until Wednesday. So, my car had to sit for 3 1/2 days waiting for "Two Day" shipping. With Prime it is odd how sometimes Sunday counts and sometimes it does not. And, 2) The Amazon fit list is incorrect. Amazon says that this items does not fit my 2005 E500 4Matic. In fact, it does fit and is an exact match. I removed the old sensor and found the correct part number based on the actual part. The actual part has a Bosch number on one side and the Benz part number on the other. The Bosch number was 0261210171. By cross referencing that number through Bosch and other parts sites as well as looking up the Benz part number, I was able to verify that indeed ...70 was a proper replacement for ...71. I have no idea where Amazon is getting their fit data, but the fact that all the other sites show it as the right part both as replacement for the part and the right part for the VIN, it is clear Amazon is getting some bad data.

Fixed my 2004 Crossfire starting issue
This sensor fixed the starting problem my 2004 3.2L V6 Crossfire was having! Iโm a 43 year old woman and this part was extremely easy to install by myself. My problems started after driving my car to town one day. When I tried to start my car to return home it kept turning over but wouldnโt start. I waited several minutes and luckily it started again. After I got home I turned off my car then tried to start it and once again it kept turning over but wouldnโt start. The next morning when the engine was cool it started right up but after the engine was warm I ran into the same issue of it turning over but not starting. I wasnโt about to wait for my check engine light to come on so I started doing some research. After reading on the crossfire forum that several others had the same problem I decided to purchase this part and my car has run great ever since I replaced this sensor. It took me less than 15 minutes to remove the old sensor and replace it with this new one. Lucky I have small hands so I was able to reach down to where it was easily. Who knows what a mechanic would have charged me or how many other parts they would have told me I needed. Iโm thrilled that what I thought would be a big expensive ordeal was such a simple inexpensive fix and Iโm extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Correct Part for my 2004 E500
I think that Amazon's parts catalogue erroneously reports that this is not the correct part for the 2004 MB E500 4Matic. I looked at the Bosch online catalogue, which specifies this part number as the right one for my car. I think the issue with the catalogue is that this is an upgraded part from the original Bosch part, which had a different part number. Amazon doesn't recognize that this is the replacement part for that Bosch part. I bought this part from Amazon, instead of paying $170-ish at the dealer, and installed it myself, instead of paying the dealer $400 to do so. Net savings: $530. There are plenty of youtube videos that will show you how to replace it. My own experience lets me give this advice. Do it when the car is cold or cool, so that you don't burn yourself and you can lean on the engine when reaching over. Use your fingers to find and identify the part. Visualize it, because you are going to have to do this without looking at what you are doing. Most important: don't drop the Torx bolt once you unbolt it, because you will never get it back. That requirement slowed my progress, but it all went smoothly. Basically, the process is just: (1) find and unclip the connecting wire by squeezing the top, remembering the orientation and what it feels like; (2) get your torx socket (E8) on the bolt, which is in a weird location; (3) unscrew the bolt, not dropping the bolt; (4) wiggle out the sensor, which is hard at first but wiggle enough and it will come right out; (5) insert the new sensor, some people have smeared a little oil or wd40 on its shaft so it can be turned once in the hole, where it is tight, (6) make sure it is properly oriented so the bolt hole on the sensor is over the bolt hole in the car; (7) insert bolt and tighten; (8) clip wire back to sensor. Done. Now start your car and be happy you just saved $500+. The videos make this all clear. I used some paper towel to wipe off the area above and below and around the old sensor before removing it, so dirt didn't get in the hole. Good luck!

Quick Clarification On Which CPS (2 Types) You Need! Please Read.
I want to make this clear as there is little info/clarification between the -two types- of CPS parts for {1998-2002, Mercedes ML320}, I'll explain the correct process and how to figure out which one you'll exactly need then hopefully save you time by avoiding ordering the wrong one, they cannot be interchanged even though they both look similar. No doubt the ML320 is still a very very popular car out there, with an excellent package, strong engine, and transmission. However Mercedes slacked off with electronic/sensor errors and the notorious fuel pump which is extremely delicate. So make sure your ML320 is exhibiting issues like: Progressively worsening start-ups, rough idle or accleration, and car die's on stoplights which then won't restart until engine cools off. Heat seems to be the biggest correlation when the CPS starts failing. Two types of CPS's, Double Interlock and Single Interlock tabs. These tabs are tiny but are the small grooves on the external body. It's a small little ridge that allows the piece to push in to lock/mate. Btw, all CPS's have the internal 2-pin connectors. You'll want to get your {VIN}, enter it into a Vin Decoder for Mercedes and look for the {Engine Number}. Ignore the first bracket of numbers and only copy your number from, for example: 30 783831 or 31 000001. -- If your engine number is UP TO/ BELOW {30 358406}, you'll need a CPS with {Double Interlock Tabs}, which has the two identical little external notchs on each side of the piece. -- If your Engine Number is {30 358407} or ABOVE, you'll need the {Single Interlock} which only has one little external ridge, only one side of the piece. Hope this helps clear up some confusion. Not sure if this specifically applies to other Makes/Models though.

Dit Bosch product is identiek aan het Mercedes onderdeel A 003 153 28 28 maar veel voordeliger in prijs. Als uw auto ca. 200.000 kilometer gereden heeft is het raadzaam dit onderdeel te vervangen. Als uw auto bij koude motor goed rijd en bij warme motor minder goed, of bij lange ritten zelfs uit wil gaan of helemaal niet meer wil starten dan kan het aan deze krukas sensor liggen. Zeker de moeite waard om te vervangen.
