Ostomy Barrier Ring, 10PCS Thick 4mm Moldable Hydrocolloid, 48mm

I ordered these ostomy barrier rings to provide extra protection when attaching ostomy bags. I have found this brand of ostomy rings and bags to work well overall compared to other brands as long as the area around the stoma is clean and dry. I alternate between using barrier rings and sticking the bags directly to the skin and the use is more about personal preference than anything else in my opinion. In general, I recommend these rings if you prefer to use rings because they are made of high quality material and stick well when properly applied. I also recommend that you heat the skin around the stoma and also heat the barrier ring and bag with a hair dryer before attaching because this helps the items stick better and makes sure the skin is dry.

I have an ileostomy and my supplier won’t give me anymore than I’m allotted. So I order these ring barriers to help in the time before I get my personal order. Great product.

I bought this product as I'm traveling and we forgot the Cera ring on home so we have to order some as emergency. But Cera ring work perfect and is easy to work to make size you need .

I purchased these rings as they were reasonably priced. However, in this case, you get what you pay for. When I molded them to fit, unfortunately, they shrunk back and didn't stay the right size which caused leakage. In addition, they weren't very sticky and didn't stick to my skin. I canceled my "subscribe and save" order and ordered a better ring for my needs.

The quality of this product is very poor. I purchased these rings because they were much cheaper than the higher-priced Hollister brand rings. However, these rings don’t adhere to your skin nearly as well as Hollister rings do, so you’ll end up with leaks very quickly. I can get about 1 full day (maybe 2 days) out of these cheap rings before they fail. That said, the money you save on these rings does not outweigh the money you’ll need to spend having to change your bag and barrier more often. I stopped using these rings, bit the bullet, and bought a box of Hollister rings because I know they’ll hold up much better and for much longer. This is one of those cases where you definitely get what you pay for.

I bought these ostomy rings instead of the expensive ones that were given to us from the home health nurse. I was hoping they would work as good. Just tried one and my husband (who has the stoma), said it feels more comfortable than the more expensive ones and seems to have a better adhesion. He's had it on for a couple of days and all good. We usually only change the wafer (around the stoma) once a week, so I will report back after a few more are used to report if they are still working good.

Have been using these with another one of this companies products and I’m finding that these rings just don’t stick a whole lot to your skin and they aren’t overly malleable compared to what you would see from Holister or Coloplast. Wouldn’t recommend this as my wear time with them at the moment is 20-24hrs before I have a leak. I do use both my hands and a heating pad to help attach my products and just this one isn’t working that great. Good product if you are in an emergency and need something on your ostomy until you can get home, but I wouldn’t buy them again.
