The Tekk Short Antenna Made a Major Improvement in My AM Reception
I installed the Tekk Short Antenna on my Ford Escape shortly after opening the package, it was that simple. Tekk provides several different sized threaded posts to match the antenna connector in the car roof. To install the antenna, you find the appropriate post threads and using a hex wrench tighten the post into the antenna. I used Loctite to make sure it wouldn't come loose. After screwing the new antenna into the roof mount, I fired up the radio and instead of static on my favorite AM station, I got great reception with very little interference. There's a lot of RFI in my area, but I got fine reception on my trip through areas where I could barely get anything but static. Instead of turning the volume way up to hear a little of the radio station broadcast, I could actually keep the volume at a much lower level. The Tekk Short Antenna is well worth the price and does a great job cleaning up the static, especially for AM. I highly recommend this replacement antenna!

Hard plastic cover already broken! - UPDATE - REPLACEMENT OFFERED!
The antenna "cover" is already broken on my Pursuit. I liked the looks of the antenna, a good-looking swap, and got that long whip out of the way. The antenna itself still works fine, but with a broken cover I don't expect it to survive long. And the antenna location on the Pursuit trunk isn't very exposed, so I have no idea how it broke. As it has only been a handful of months, durability is your concern. UPDATE: I have upgraded the review. The antenna still broke, so lose a star. BUT TEKK has reached out and offered to replace the antenna. Hard to ask for more than that. While that won't directly help me (I have already purchased their carbon fiber flexible antenna), one cannot ask for more support than that!
