Hi there, thank you for your question. In TCM, the kidney is related to the health of teeth. I would suggest applying the magnetic patches at two acupressure points related to the kidneys at the feet. You may email us if you require the diagram. There are two other suggestions, which do not require magnetic patches. There are four acupressure points on the face and one point on the hand that by massaging, we can improve the blood flow to the teeth. The founder side is against your body..the flat side is against the tape.

Can they be used behind the ear or head?

Never place electron tens pad anywhere on the head. It could cause brain damage. Also, don't place them on your chest near you heart. Best used on large muscle areas.
