Product is 5 stars, Customer Service is a whole galaxy of stars
This is one of those occasional purchases that has made me really happy. The snap caps are great, but what truly amazed me was the customer service. In every way, this was a great purchase. The product is excellent. These dummy rounds [snap caps] are made of steel: I checked with a magnet. They are dimensionally correct. I have never before seen snap caps like these, with their replaceable rubber head pads. It seems like an excellent design, which should provide great protection for the vulnerable firing pins of rimfire firearms. The rubber pads are replaceable, so the snap caps should last forever; and, if they donโt, you can get more pads. I have always used A-Zooms. Those are great, but you cannot replace the little pad in the center of the โcartridgeโ head. With the Bayattoo snap caps, you can. You can also rotate them, so that the firing pin keeps striking different sections of the pads. There was one small problem: The product information states that the box โprovides additional 10pcs spare pads.โ Well, my package did not include the spare pads. The box did, however, include a card which stated: โIf you unfortunately receive any items that couldnโt meet your expectation, please kindly give us an opportunity to correct the issue. We will do our best to resolve the issue till you are satisfied.โ Well, their โbestโ is truly outstanding. I emailed them at 7:26 pm on a Sunday. I got a response at 7:59 pm. THIRTY-THREE MINUTES LATER. Their representative was as charming as is the English of the guarantee. The rep gave her name as CandyโฆI am mentioning her name because I want her boss to notice, and promote herโฆand she wrote that she had already submitted an order. In the Amazon product information, they promised ten spare pads. Candy sent me FORTY. We had further correspondence, because she wanted to provide me with the tracking number and to keep me updated. In all of her correspondence, she was the perfect customer service rep: knowledgeable, wishing to provide excellent service, and doing everything perfectly. I received the spare pads within four days of requesting them. Technically, three days, since I wrote on a Sunday evening, although that was probably a Monday morning for Candy. Anyhow, the whole thing was a pleasure. And, I think itโs unlikely that you will find the spare pads to be missing. Candy wrote โI appreciate that you contacted us to give us the opportunity to correct the issue you met.โ That seems to be the attitude of this company, treating my little complaint as an opportunity to improve. They do continually suggest that you write a review. Hey, I donโt mind. I am very much motivated to write this. I am impressed. If you order these dummy rounds/snap caps, I think that you will be, too.

GREAT PRODUCT...
Great product for dry fire training and for protecting the "firing pin" of a rimfire. ANOTHER USE: Load one as the first round into those larger-capacity magazines. If you lose count, as I frequently do, it will "misfire" and force you to investigate. This will prevent a true dry fire and protect your firing pin from damage. I know it sounds crazy, but I would rather give up 1-of-25 rounds than have to replace the firing pin.

Review Update - Good concept for a 22lr snap cap, but terrible performance
The weight of these 22lr snap caps closely match live rounds and the idea of a rubber patch to protect the firing pin during dry fire seemed like a great concept. However when I tried using them in my Walther PPQ M2 22lr, the tapered front of the round and the rubber back end caused continuous fail to chamber, double feeds, fail to eject, & magazine jams. If I continued to try using them, I'm sure it would damage my firearm. So that being the case I'm returning them immediately. Update #1: I've been impressed by this company's willingness to reach out to me regarding my dis-satisfaction with their product. Apparently they have a redesigned product that will properly work in my firearm. I'll post a further update after I try them out. Things that separates companies are their belief in their product and that they go out of their way to assure customer satisfaction! This organization has done both! Update #2 - 6/5/24 Just received the redesigned version of these snap caps. The tips are more rounded than the originals and the primer end rubber protection is thinner as well. Because of these changes, the snap caps worked perfectly with my Walther PPQ M2 - not a single jam, double feed, or stove pipe after cycling through 4 mags of 10 rounds each. I'm very pleased with this redesign as I can now do my dry fire practices with confidence. The other aspect that I'm grateful for is this company stands behind there product and they value customer satisfaction. Recognizing a problem they offered a solution. Their Customer Service rep not only reached out to me after my initial review but then followed up every step of the way with multiple messages explaining the process to receive the redesigned version, notifying of shipment, and then tracking/reporting the shipment status until delivery. That is definitely outstanding customer service and I highly recommend their company and their products!

Runs well
Used as spacers for a TX22 drum mod. Removed the plastic impact pads and worked great.

Poor design
Impact pad on the ammo is too thing. Wears out FAST. It does come with extras, but it is a pain to replace them after use. It did come with a removal tool but after dry firing for a while it wouldn't work. I had to use a knife and a pair of side-cutter pliers to get it out and it fought me all the way. Worst of all, the hammer worked its way through the pad and connected with the metal case. Chewed it up significantly. Don't buy.

Practice And Assess Your Rifle's Action
These practice rounds have the correct weight and shape to mimic real .22lr ammo. They loaded and ejected properly but felt a bit tight in my Volquartsen's Summit rifle, which has a toggle bolt/cam action. Volquartsen recommends discharging a few hundred live rounds before inserting any spacer(s) between barrel and receiver to achieve that "single-finger" effort some reviewers -- for example, 22 Plinkster -- have described when testing the Bolt's toggle/cam feel.

FTE in 22lr
UPDATE Seller reached out and offered to send an updated design. They actually sent new rubber inserts, as well as an updated set of snap caps. The new ones definitely work better. Still some failures to eject but not nearly as often, and typically only if the magazine (TX22) is loaded past 10 rounds. And actually the old caps with the new inserts work best for me. (Original review below) I purchased these in 22lr for dry fire training in a semi auto handgun. I liked that you get 16 instead of other brands where you get 10 or 12. I do NOT like the constant failure to eject though. I have other 22lr snap caps from steelworx and those have no issues. These are terrible in a magazine/semi auto setup. They would work fine in a revolver or single shot setup I think.

Well made, good customer service but be wary if using a semi-auto
Well made item and functioned fine in a bolt action 22lr. Failed to feed in both 22lr pistol and semi-auto though as the shape of the front is too pointed and fouled on the feed ramps. So if you are getting these for use in a bolt action 22 you are fine but buyer beware on semi-auto. As they are sent from the US the return was slightly more complex than with UK items but the seller responded promptly.

Good .22LR dummies, which serve the purpose well while letting us to stay safe!
Good dummies! My colleague had bought them recently and they are cycling well in his rifle. My experience was a negative one, which I blamed on these dummies as being dysfunctional ones. The problem actually had been caused by a technical problem in my gun. My apologies to the seller!

essential kit
If you have a .22 these caps are essential so that you can dry-fire or test function without marring or putting a burr on your firing pin. Once you have cleaned-up after a range session you should test the extractor with a cap as well.

Stay away!!!
Absolutely not to be bought. It cannot be used for dry fire. The rim broke and caused an expensive trip to the gunsmith.
