So well made, you want to hug this lovely kettle!
Lovely brilliant red colour. The red coloured cooking utensils seem to match, generally, for all kitchen types, be they modern, or Victorian conversion properties. Hereunder we describe the positive factors. There is no negative factors in this device. 1.Stable shape, there is little danger that the kettle slip, or turn over. 2. Stable, very well made handle, with non-slip grip that prevents heat transferring to the handle. Therefore, you do not feel hot-heat on your hand. 3. Lid (where a black sphere for handling) is also anti-heat transferring material. So you do not feel heat. Very well made. What is fantastic about is the lid not thin, but have thick structure, thus the water inside does not get cold so soon. 4, Lid shut firmly. There is little danger of the lid popping up or slipping, thereby causing hot-water spilling. 5. Whistle part also has a small half-sphere to prevent heat transfer, so that you do not feel heat on your finger. Very well made. 6. Internally, there is a dark-coloured coating so that the rusting and sediment can be prevented. 7. Internal shape at the bottom is slightly shaped as round (half-moon like), and this makes cleaning the hard-to reach area easy. Very well made. 8. Whistle part also shuts firmly, so there is little danger of hot-water rushing out unexpectedly. Very well made. 9. Outside of the pouring part (where the whistle is located), there is 'Max Fill' sign so that you can see the correct water level when filling the cold water. 10. Bottom also painted beautifully, so you can hang this kettle from ceiling, just like some cafeteria or bars do in order to crete visual effect of vibrant kitchen. Very well made. 11. Inside of the kettle, there is an instruction for care and handling. Be sure to take it out and preserve it for reference. 12. 10 year guarantee comes with this. Provided you take care of this well, this kettle is sure to last years, and provide joyous time for tea, coffee, or chai, or any occasion. SImply so lovely we literally hugged this kettle. If you want this kettle or any kettle to last longer, be sure to use filtered-water only ( tap-water has chemicals in it and cause damage to utensils ), and keep the kettle dry when not using. Where children and seniors or vulnerable adults lives, handling hot water needs to be cautious, and this kettle is very well made to prevent accidents. There is nothing but the praise for this kettle and the desinger who conceived it!

Smart, effective and low maintenance
Bought this after our umpteenth electric kettle died. Was getting fed up with them not lasting more than a couple of years as the electrical parts always fail (and I'm pretty OCD about regularly descaling and keeping them in good nick). Decided to try a stove top kettle instead - after all there's no electronic bits to go wrong (also, love a bit of nostalgia so the whistling variety appealed for not just practical reasons). Had this now for about 3 months. Well for a start it looks lovely sitting on our stove top. We have an induction hob and it is just as quick to boil as our old electric kettles. The whistle is deafening so no chance of not hearing it anywhere in the house! We both find it easy to fill, lift and pour - it pours very nicely and we haven't found the handle to be hot nor is the spout lid if you press the rubber bit to open it (or flick behind it to close). And another unexpected benefit is that it doesn't seem to scale up at all (and we live in a really hard water area). I have no idea why this is, but I'm not complaining! I've even descaled it anyway to see if it made a difference but it didn't at all. Weird but great. I suppose the only slight negative I could say is that the whistle when it gets to full pitch really is quite painful on the ears up close. But I guess that's a small price to pay for a kettle that looks great, does everything you'd want it to, has no electrical parts to fail and seems almost zero maintenance. All in all, really pleased so far.

A great kettle - but the whistle faded!
Having finally lost patience with unreliable electric kettles (four in 7 years) I decided to go back to basics and have been pleased to do so. This kettle is sturdy, easy to fill, with a good, loud whistle and I soon got used to using it after years of automatic kettles. It doesn't seem to be much slower than an electric kettle, but that will always depend on the output of your heat source. I've had quite a few comments about how good it looks, it's easy to keep clean and I can't think that it won't last me years. Hooray! Update 9th August 2012. Nothing could possibly go wrong with this kettle could it? Well, actually yes. The whistle has been reduced to a feeble 'phew', despite all efforts to improve it (mostly copious quantities of limescale remover) I just have to make sure I'm around when it boils, a bit of a pain, but there it is. I've consequently had to downgrade the rating. Pity. Another update 30th August 2014 The whistle comes and goes now, so will upgrade to 4 star. Another reviewer commented on the inside going rusty, this hasn't happened to my kettle and it's lasted a lot longer than electric one!

Not Just A Pretty Kettle Its over 7yrs old now and still going strong...
This is a real kettle which we've now used for a month, no electrics. Construction is good quality in heavy gauge with a double skinned lid. Comfortable handle and a good whistle that can't be mislaid. Some may prefer to use a cloth to handle when boiled as the handle can be warm. We use it on gas. The spout is short and the flow is not super smooth, maybe a little heavy for kids to use. It is stylish, (lots of positive comments) and a great colour We seemed to be averaging a new kettle every eighteen months. We were impressed with the last one, a stylish Morphy Richards, which did two years before it tripped the electrics by developing a leaky bottom. We'd tried most brands, jugs, traditional, filtered and illuminated all performed well until they didnt, which always seemed to be too short a time. We'll be interested to see how long a real kettle lasts. Apprently there are those who consider a tridional kettle on a gas stove has a smaller carbon footprint too!

Molto capiente e fischio molto forte! Consigliata!!
