Is it really a good idea to buy from some unknown Chinese place? I've been duped recently by unvetted places like this.

Yea, I've just cancelled an order for two of these units from China. Price was higher than from Amazon. BUT I must say that the previous units from China (and I have several) were great Raspberry Pi upgrades. I've decided to go with the Orange pi 5 line in the future, just because of the huge performance, options upgrade and of course availability. The cases were a problem at first but now they have a great aluminum case with a fan.

Can i power it using pd 20w charger? 9v2.2a/5v3a

you can, but it could resolve in crashes since the CPU and GPU wouldn't get enough power, so i would really recommend to just use the included charger, the included charger is 5V4A

Has anyone in the us bought one of these? what were the custom charges?

Mine is not here yet so YMMV. However, I have purchased many items like this direct from mainland companies over the years and never once had a customs charge, and i dont expect this to be any different just because its via Amazon.

Do I need to buy something extra for Bluetooth?

Yes. If you order the version with wi-fi/bluetooth, it comes with the item needed. If you order the normal model, you need to order the item separate. It is a small card that goes into the NVMe port on the bottom. You either can have an NVMe drive for storage, or the bluetooth module, but sadly not both. If you get the bluetooth, you need to use a micro SD card for storage.
