This was a great replacement piece for my Dyson canister! Fit perfect, instructions were easy to follow. Build quality is pretty good, and on top of fitting great it comes with the special screwdriver. The suction is back to being powerful and consistent, which makes vacuuming much more efficient. The price point was reasonable! So far it’s been working well!

Buy this! We have a Dyson v11 animal, about 6 years old at this point, has been a little off for the last year or two, so we took the dust canister apart to clean out some things that had some sticky spots and just make sure everything was OK. Accidentally broke part of this three-part unit, and couldn’t get it back together. So we ordered this replacement — much cheaper than buying a new vacuum, although we’d started shopping. Holy dust sucker, Batman! Replacing the ring with this new assembly has brought this six-year-old vacuum cleaner back to something much more like it’s original self. I mean, did the classic, “vacuumed a small area that we had recently vacuumed,” test and picked up a third of a canister of very fine dust and dirt out of the carpet. Yeesh. Apparently, this one Dyson component does not age as well as the rest of the cleaner, and it does need to be replaced every so often. Maybe more often than we did. And good grief did it make a difference! The build on the replacement seems perfectly adequate, it fit exactly and snapped and screwed into place without a single glitch. CAVEAT: There is a single screw that holds this unit in place on your vacuum. This does not come with a new one. Do not lose the one from your vacuum, you will need it when this unit arrives. (On the other hand, our unit came with a screwdriver that fit the old screw perfectly.) Honestly, we’re going to go check the other two fading units. We had vanished to Loeser roles in faraway corners of our home to see if we can’t bring them back to life for a couple of bucks.

I decided to buy this sealing ring when the one on my Dyson vacuum cleaner started failing. Whenever I emptied the bin, the ring would come apart. Despite multiple times to fix it, it kept disassembling itself. I decided to give this replacement a try. I installed it yesterday, and so far it has been working very well. I also really appreciated the fact that it came with a small screwdriver to facilitate removing the old ring and replacing it with this one. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product..

It fits the V10 Animal just fine. The fit is a bit tight and required some flexing because it was slightly deformed. The gasket is lower quality that what comes from Dyson, but it works well enough. It's a better option than replacing the whole canister with a third party.

This was a perfectly functional replacement for the original. It works great. I noticed that the red silicone piece was a little thinner on this than the original, but it still works fine.

I was so frustrated when the sealing ring on my Dyson dust bin broke. It seemed like such a small part, but it made the entire vacuum unusable. It was easy to install—it took me less than 5minutes. This product exceeded my expectations. I installed the dust bin ring and rubber in under 1 minute. The screw driver was very much appreciated. The Dyson screw requires a cork shaped screwdriver to remove effectively. Who knew? I watched the video on how to install this part. I am a 69 year old woman. Just saying. I don't look 69 nor act 69. This part is 100% better than the Dyson original part. The last time I broke this part I faced a 300. repair at a vacuum repair shop. I am as happy as a song bird. To the people who rated this product lower it was perhaps because you did not google how to install this part and/or did not have the right screwdriver.

Fitment is perfect. All around the diameter fits like OEM part. However, the small screw that tightens the ring does not fit on to this replacement. The hole is larger, loose fit, hence the crew doesn't stay. But the screw isn't necessary as the ring has port that inserts into only one place. I am certain the ring is not going to fall out.
