Stunt kit, worked well

So it's a beautiful autumn day on the Norfolk coast. With quite a strong onshore breeze. The kite's perfectly assembled, as per (the pretty simple) instructions. I'm holding on to it. My ten-year-old is poised, some 20 or 30 metres away, holding the two strings. And we launch. The kite rises three metres, and falls out of the sky. We repeat this four or five times, and at no point does the kite in any way become airborne. To make things worse, because it's designed to be shipped, the little posts and pillars that hold it together are too short and clip together, so frequently become unclipped. If your desire is to put your children off kites, then this is the one for you.

Looks well made. Not yet had the opportunity to assemble and test fly it but looking forward to that enjoyable moment. Will update this provisional review in due course hopefully having tested the kite in different wind conditions

Poor alignment so will need to adjust as the kite crashes - and very heavy line so won’t fly in low winds

Great looking survivors kite, maybe I'll be able to control it in high speed winds :)

I don't normally leave reviews but this is more of a PSA. This kite is awful. Really finicky to assemble and once it is it needs a lot of wind to even get airborne, then when it is it's almost uncontrollable. The thread spools let go too easily so it's hard to keep tension on one side or the other and even if you do you need almost superhuman reflexes to stop it spinning out. Even if you have tension on both sides it just twists and turns for no apparent reason. To be avoided.
