Slight production issues on the top of the rooks but that is very minor and it is hard to get a perfect flat surface when molding rooks. Some wet sandpaper solved it. Otherwise these were perfect. Very solid, great weight and look fantastic. Bought it to play chess with my neighbour and transformed our games. Would highly recommend.

Solid and weighty!

The rooks can make or break a chess set's aesthetics. I share the view of another reviewer that these - and possibly others from this brand - are great to look at. On minimal looks alone, I like this set which as a bonus comes with an additional pair of queens. The only downside is that there is no wooden box. So be prepared to budget for that, because the hardboard case will eventually wear out. The pieces are substantial and have some solidity which encourages me to want to play. Probably need a 19-21 inch board. All the pieces were level and not at all wobbly. Green felt was plush enough to protect. Okay, not cheap, but for an equivalent set by better-known makers, this punches well above its price point, good quality, and excellent value. Happy.

Good value for a weighted wooden set , nicely felted and clean lines for the Staunton style pieces. The pieces fit well on a board with 50mm squares ( as per photo ) of if you prefer a little more room then they would also sit well on a board with 55mm squares.

My cousin loves this computer chess game. He had one similar or I think the same so he bought another. He just wanted to buy another. You can't get any better a recommendation than that can you! 👍🏻

These pieces are great. Bigger than I expected but fit perfectly on the new 15' board I purchased.

Magnifique pièces

Tengo varios conjuntos de piezas de ajedrez, 5 de ellos francamente buenos, y ninguno ha bajado su precio de 120 €. Este juego de piezas me ha pasado desapercibido pese a verlo en el catálogo desde hace meses. Las piezas en mano mejoran aún las de las fotos. No sé bien que es "triple ponderación", pero pesan tanto como los de los otros conjuntos. Su diseño es muy elegante y proporcionado. Algo que me ha impresionado son sus siluetas, perfectas y diferentes. Tengo un set de piezas de Dubrovnik (6,5 cm), con el que suelo jugar en el escritorio, y a veces me cuesta distinguir los alfiles de las damas. Las torres son soberbias. Mis piezas preferidas son los caballos. Impresionaban de ser muy simples, pero en el juego ya no lo son. Ilustró mi comentario con fotos. En una de ellas junto piezas del juego que comento: ahí la imagen no es justa, porque el diseño del caballo de Dubrovnik es, para mí inigualable, pero frente a los caballos Staunton. Es un precio increíble para tan buena calidad.

Schöne und mit Metall beschwerte Figuren. Ich behalte sie gerne, brauche aber einen schwarzen Filzstift. Wenige schwarz lackierte Figuren haben Abplatzungen an ihren Kanten. Für mich nicht schlimm. Tipp: Schwarzes Holz wählen oder erst schwarz beizen, dann lackieren. Unten: Filz, super, wenn auch ungleichmäßig aufgeklebt. Leider ist die Aufbewahrungsbox nur aus beklebter Pappe. Von mir gibt es die vollen 5 Sterne. Für ein 50x50mm² Brett perfekt.

Personally I love the feel of wooden pieces, these with a little extra weight feel fantastic and are a perfect fit for a 17" board, highly recommend
