Premiere collection-The best of

I bought a couple of other compilations but they did not have the original singers. LOVE 'Take that look off your face' and 'Tell me on a Sunday' both by Marti Webb and this 'Phantom' production with Steve Harley is far preferable to the Michael Crawford version (which has weaker vocals). Superstar is uplifting.

had it on cassette once, had to get it on CD but took a long while to get around to it.

The cd was in not to bad condition and for the price was good value and plays well.

Yo tuve un cassette con la versión original Premier Collection de Andrew Lloyd Weber. Ese cassette ya no sirve y la intención era reponerlo con este producto, pero lo que me mandaron es otra cosa que no tiene nada que ver con el producto que esperaba

My heart sank when I listened to the first track on this CD. With Michael Crawford " in the house," er, hall - why was Steve Harley allowed to literally butcher "Phantom of the Opera?" His godsawful noise was like an assault upon the wonderful vocals of Sarah Brightman. Had that not been followed by the delightful, "Take That Look Off Your Face," (which I'd never heard before), I might not have listened any further.The rest of the CD is wonderful. Some of the performances gave me goose bumps, i.e. Don't Cry For Me Argentina, Memory and The Music Of The Night. In fact, I have been playing this CD obsessively in my car since I first purchased it. Traffic jams bother me not at all because I get to stay in the car longer - and listen longer.
