Solar Sun Rings Twister Pool Hose Rotator For Suction Side Pool Cleaners

Our pool cleaner routinely backed itself into a corner and would stay there all night. Put one of these in line and the cleaner now finds it's way out. The rotational cycle is quite long, many hours, so you can't see the effect in action. About once every 2-3 weeks, I find it necessary to separate the hose and take out an extra twist. The device is not airtight; it has to remain submerged or it will allow air into the line and stall out the system. I dealt with that by adding a hose weight near the device, which keeps it below the surface.

Twister solved my 2015 Hayward Aquanaut200 cleaner's issues (40-gal in-ground kidney-shaped pool). Cleaner was always stuck in the shallow end. Be patient/diligent "tweaking/adjusting" other components. The Twister WILL work if correctly installed (w/tweaking, of course)! Here's how I approached it & what I did (i.e. you need a 'control group'; only 1 change-at-a-time; learn from it). 1. Diligence/Patience. Learn what's working/not-working w/yr cleaner. 2. Adjust the 2 weights - moving them apart/together (despite mfg settings) makes a HUGE CHANGE! Not all cleaners are promised tas being wall-climbing. Mine is; Hayward Aquanaut200. 3. Then my Aquanaut200 climbed & pop-out of the water.... this is equally unacceptable; it's hard on the pump (may need a Back-wash 'n Rinse to get the psi below 15). 3. Regardless, make sure the cleaner's "throat" is either small, med or large (mostly large for wall climbing) & clear of debris. 3. Always ONLY DO 1 change at-a-time 2. Back-washed & rinsed the pool's Hayward filtration config (i.e. it was up about 17psi.... it's now about 12psi). I'll be doing this weekly!!

Great idea, apparently cheaply made. Day 1, worked like a champ. Day 2 worked. Day 3.... not so much. Not only am I returning the product, but since you are required to slice up one of your hoses to install this, I am now short a hose. Going to be asking them to pay for a replacement hose section as well. I really wanted this to work. I have one corner that is like a magnet to the cleaner and I really needed this solution. On the first day, as soon as I installed this, the cleaner made a beeline for its favorite corner and immediately got stuck. However, 5 minutes later, as the hose did its twisting magic, it climbed free and roamed the pool like it should. I was overjoyed. On day 2 I noticed that it seemed to take longer to free up once it got stuck. Instead of 5 minutes it now took 10-15 minutes to free up, but it still worked. Ok, I could live with that. However today when it had been stuck for over 30 minutes I went to inspect and noticed that the wheels inside were no longer turning. Examining the unit, it's hard for me to tell what's wrong. Nothing visible broken, but if I spin the wheel with my finger, the front plate does not turn at all. The little yellow drive gear appears stuck at the very end of its run where it is supposed to go around the end of the teeth and start back the other direction. Note that I cleaned all the pool skimmers so everything is clean and water flow is great. The hose has a nice vibration, indicating plenty of suction. But this thing is DOA. So... love the idea, but don't buy this one. It won't last.

this thing works as advertised, it twist the crap, out of my kreepy, but my kreep still wont let go. maybe i will turn the pressure down.
