Worked on my 2015 Kia Optima SLX Turbo. Can't ask for more. Not a easy job, but worth it when parts work....

It fits.
The description didn't state if it would fit a 2012 Optima EX, it also didn't state if wouldn't fit. I purchased it off of the pictures and it works! All I did was compare my parts to the picture. I am really happy with the outcome.
