I bought this for the iron we had brought back from living in Italy but the 2 prongs don't go in??

These are designed to not accept Schuko pins because appliances with Schuko plugs are meant to be earthed. If you want something that takes Type C europlugs and Type E/F French/German/Schuko plugs, you need a Schuko adapter, not this one.

There appears to be red plastic in the holes on my adapter and my 2 prong plug won't go in...do I need to take it out??

It's a safety feature. UK 3pin sockets prevent 2pin devices - the earth pin is essential. Part of the red plastic is moved aside when you insert an earth pin. You can do it without an earth pin, but I wouldn't advise it.

Is it available for South Korea plugs?
