These are very strong magnets! I'm not sure what others are using these for but the hooks are small but perfect for using on a cruise in your room. Once I put them together (about 2-5 minutes total) I stuck them up on the ceiling and hung decorations all around the cruise cabin. I also used one to hand shirts and other items to dry in the main room after they had dripped all they could in the bathroom. The air circulation in the main cabin was much greater than in the bath and things were able to dry much faster. This little magnet had no problems with holding up the items I hung from it. I would very HIGHLY recommend these if you are going on a cruise or need to hang things from a magnetic surface. They are strong and very versatile with the hook that can be used to hang from the wall or ceiling. They are not big - so easy to pack and work well.

Great purchase! I bought these for a cruise and they worked perfect for hanging things such as sweatshirts, bathing suits and robes on, good quality, and very strong and sturdy!

The magnet is surprisingly strong.

These magnets are crazy strong but keep in mind, not all ferrous metal is the same. You'll have the best attraction to iron or low-carbon steel. To most stainless steel they will have virtually no attraction. I read comments from others that range from "great" to "don't work" and it is clear that we are comparing apples and oranges. If I attach one of these magnets to my welding table to hold down its cover in the wind, I will have to use a hammer to tap the magnet towards the edge of the table to then pry it off. Note that these magnets are brittle. Do not let one slam against a ferrous surface. I have cracked one magnet that way. Not the fault of the manufacturer. Just that these are magnets and are not made for impact strength. So to wrap it up, know that your mileage will vary depending on how close to pure iron the surface is. After my initial purchase, I bought a bunch more to hang tools off of the sides of rolling carts in the garage.

They work great!

Very strong magnets. I purchased the black so they would blend into the color of my refrigerator. They are used to hold two baskets. The top baskets holds several heads of garlic and the bottom basket will hold paper napkins. I like the idea of getting these off the counter. It looks less cluttered and makes it easier to wipe down the counter without having to move a bunch of items.

I use these for my students backpacks outside. They hold up well and are super strong even for a heavier backpack. The size is convenient and works well in the place I prefer to use them. They are easy to put on but difficult to get off due to the weight capacity.

Have not tried 110 lbs. yet but they do hold a lot of weight. I have hung garland , and it did great. I have hung a rather small iron skillet and it did well. I was afraid they would not be that good but I have not ben disappointed yet.

I bought these for my son who uses them in his work van mostly! Hangs a jacket, clip board, tools. He has them all over and nothing has fallen yet.

The strength of the magnets is excellent. The clips to attach the hooks to the magnets are a bit fussy to manipulate, but the strength of the metal is stiff (which is excellent after attachment). I scratched the paint on one of the magnets, but I now know to be more careful. I would buy it again.

These are super strong! I got them to hang my giant calendar on the fridge for easy access & viewing of our crazy schedule. These are definitely some of the strongest magnets I've encountered. At first, I was confused because the hook didn't come attached. So I went back and looked at the photos on Amazon details & saw that there are holes on the sides of the little button thing of the magnet, then I slightly open the hook part and attach it. Super easy, super cool and super strong. I will definitely be re ordering
