I have a young cat that is incredibly wild and bites a lot when trying to brush him (particularly when using a Furminator). These gloves work like a charm! I'm so happy I bought them! Now my hands aren't covered in scratches and bite marks anymore, and I can keep the cat hair shedding under control. One small issue is that the gloves are a bit large for women's hands, and weren't offered in a smaller size, so they can feel a bit clumsy at first when trying to use them (hence the 4 stars). But eventually you get used to them.

To play with our cat - it is ideal as his claws don’t go into skin and the gauntlet goes quite a way up the arm so offering extended protection.

Great gloves, but if a big dog bites you it's still going to Hurt. These big buggers can soften the bite but don't let them off your hands!

These gloves are advertised as containing "Kevlar", spelt K - e - v - l - A - r. This would suggest that they contain KelvAr, the heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibre, developed by Stephanie Kwolek at DuPont in 1965. If they contained Kevlar then they would indeed provide very good protection against cat and dog bites. When they arrived, it was clear they did not contain Kevlar, but were instead made from leather and had the word "Kevler" printed on the back. Kevler make sound systems, something that I doubt would protect you from an animal bite unless perhaps you turned it up very loud or threw it at them. It's a good job I realised this before trying these gloves out on any biting animals as I could have sustained a potentially life threatening injury had I believed the product description. Needless to say, I will be returning them for a refund. I am very surprised and disappointed that amazon are 'recommending' them as anti-bite gloves - they might wish to consult their lawyers before someone sustains a serious injury.

Plus de mains et bras lacérés, et même plus besoin de moi pour tenir le chat (mais toujours invitée:) Plus en détail, ces gants sont en cuir très épais mais souples !!! Etonnant aussi la qualité de ces gants à petit prix ! Je recommande vivement ce produit pour toute personne possédant un matou difficile à manipuler

Mein Kater, ein ansonsten sehr liebes Tier, tickt jedes Mal aus, wenn wir ihn festhalten müssen. Sei es, weil es zum Tierarzt geht oder weil er eine Zecke hat. Er kennt dann weder Freund noch Feind. Diese Handschuhe sind daher Gold wert. Kein Kratzer, Beißer kommt durch. Und sobald er merkt, dass Widerstand zwecklos ist, fügt er sich auch seinem Schicksal. Eine sehr gute Anschaffung.
