Paired easily with my Smartthings Hub and I began testing it
I had a nagging feeling after carrying out some DIY plumbing in the house despite working as a plumbers mate for a few years.I suppose I got this for peace of mind more than anything else.Paired easily with my Smartthings Hub and I began testing it. The tilt and moisture alarms work great and the audible alarm from the device itself is useful too if you're not near your phone. It's not that loud but I can just about hear it when it's under the sink behind a load of cleaning stuff and a reverse osmosis unit.Had it's first real alert just yesterday. I was at work and got the alert on my phone so I could ring the wife straight away to see what the issue was. There was indeed some water in the press but no leak as such. The cold tap had been in use and some condensation had dropped down off the steel tails as the weather is so warm.Five stars for form and function. Take away one for price.I'll get more though despite the high asking price. Let's face it if any of them get you to a leak before it gets out of hand or does real damage it'll work out an awful lot cheaper than the renovation job you'd otherwise be facing!

Is not working correctly with Smarthings gets detected as a door/window sensor
Unfortunately this sensor is identified as a door window sensor by smart things I thought I had a faulty unit but a replacement from Amazon is doing exactly the same. Such a disappointment I will have to return this one as well. It almost seems like someone has flashed these at the factory with the wrong Rom or something.Update: I reallise now this needs a custom device driver for smart things that you have to generate from code and then assign from smarthings developer website. I'm upping the score as the device probably does work with a custom driver.

Couldn’t get it set up.
A bit rubbish.....I couldn’t figure out how to get it to work. Needed a new hub or something. Be careful, it doesn’t just hook up to the wifi router, you need some sort of hub.

Good quality but could be improved
Would have given 5 stars if it would have included a probe. I had to buy it additionally.

Brilliant sensors (but they don’t notify Ring Alarm)
These are amazing sensors, z-wave plus and backwards compatible with z-wave. They have internal contacts to attach an external power source an external probe and even relay driver (I believe). Ring Gen 2 discovers and can add them…but that’s where the story ends because Ring Alarm doesn’t perform any actions when they’re triggered. Ring Alarm is a closed ecosystem. You can trigger these moisture sensors, and they’ll beep locally, and their LEDs will flash, but to Ring Alarm nothing has occurred. Pity.
