Excellent eraser accessory
Good brand, easily sharpened, plenty of spares, fits well in a pencil case, rubs out well, doesn't smudge. What more could you ask for?

Erases cleanly without leaving smudges
These erasers remove pencil marks cleanly without leaving smudge marks on every kind of paper I've used it on. The holder never allows the eraser to slip and easily adjusts as the eraser wears down. The erasers last a long time. I've been using the first eraser for over a year using less than one fourth of the stick, and I use it every day. These erasers are so much better at removing pencil marks than the old "pink pearl" eraser, you'll never go back. With ten refills it's a lifetime supply. You will never need another eraser.

Absolute essential
I have no idea why buying the eraser stick and the refills was cheaper than just buying the refills, but hey, I'm not complaining! I've got a spare now. Anyways, I find this item to be an absolute essential in my artist's kit. It's large and easy to handle, unlike most small square/rectangle erasers, and a lot cleaner to work with too since you're not getting graphite all over your fingers. It perfectly fits in my pencil case alongside my mechanical pencil. I've never had an issue with my Staedtler stick eraser actually erasing things unless I've gone so hard on the pencil that there are literally grooves in the paper. Honestly I'd recommend this above all other erasers, at least for pencil drawings. I've admittedly not tested it with charcoal yet.
