They stained white cotton clothes
I bought these for my boutique booth and they stained light-colored items made of cotton for example. They are very nice and functional however, that is the only aspect of these clips that I did not enjoy.

I failed to realize before bringing these into my home they are velvet and now they are covered in a stubbornly attached layer of fur.

Cheaply made be very delicate/gentle.
Yes they are serving the purpose. Holding anything like blue jeans or pants with quality/thickness is a no go. Okay, it will hold your cheap Forever 21 or whatever thin material items you have like Silk/Sateen. Oh! Maybe even underwear since they are not thick. Okay, I’ll simmer down my sarcasm a little, but you can use them, but be VERY gentle and delicate so you don’t crack or break them. Sliding them across the bottom of my expensive velvet hangers, this clamp tore the velvet off the shirt hanger, but I suggest when you glide/move them (these pant clips) across the bottom (of the velvet shirt hangers) have the clamp slightly pinched open. I would not buy these again.
