Beurer GL50 3-in-1 Blood Glucose Monitoring System

Bought this for my Wife who is on long-term IGF1 & 2 Treatment to ensure Glucose 'Safety'. It Works with German Efficiency whilst Delivering Fast Results. Like the Compactness: Would Fit with ease into an Inside Jacket Pocket or into a Handbag. Sadly because of its' relative newness [March 2013] to the 'market' TEST STRIP' availability here in the UK is Poor and Expensive. Those that can supply will charge a: Gulp: 'Premium'. Not content with 'Rip-off Britain' I now Buy All Consumables Online from a German Pharmacy. Realistic Pricing and MORE German Efficiency...The Choice of Supplier is FAR greater there and the Free-market works! Excellent, Excellent and a Brilliant piece of Kit.

This is good tester but the problem is you can't buy the test strips in the UK, tried 3 different pharmacies and the GP. So its been returned.

Fine looking piece of kit. A couple of minor negatives, the documents contained in the box are all in German (however an English user guide is contained in the software package under "HELP"), also unlike some other similar products available this item only comes with about 5 test strips and about 10 lancets. While you're obviously going to need more anyway it seems a bit, well a bit tight. The tester is very simple to use, the software loads easily, works well and is user friendly, the lancet is easy to use and adjust but a bit weak for my thick skin so go for the higher setting first and dial back as required. All in all pleased with my purchase.

If the manual is in english or french and not in german it should be fine. How to 0obtain it either in english or in french ?

Difficult to get the test strips in the uk for it and not supported by NHS

It measures blood glucose easily using a standard prick/test strip mechanism, then it plugs into a USB port on a computer (where it is recognised as an external device) and interacts with the Beurer Health Manager software, which sucks in the data and performs various analyses. Success rate in getting data from device to PC: 100%

This product is awful none of the instructions are in English and it is unusable

was not sure at first but I soon got the hang of it my son had to work out the date etc that you have to set. \the only issue i have is that the needles didnt draw enough blood for the sticks so i wasted a few but now i take blood from my arm not finger and there is no problem its also useful to check on the computer how i am doing brilliant product well worth the money

Purtroppo ho restituito l’oggetto perché non avevo letto che misurava non con il sistema italiano. In sintesi, non capivo i risultati delle prove.
