The Coyotes Love It!
I took this radio backpacking, and it was cold, in the 20s, with windchill in the teens, I had fresh batteries in it and we listened to it for 3 nights in a row on those batteries and it was still going strong when we went home. It has okay sound, it’s plenty loud enough but maybe somewhat “tinny” sound but hey it’s a tiny radio what do you expect? Anyway to give you an idea of how loud and clear, every time I’d turn it on, the coyotes all around would begin barking and howling from far away, I think they never hear sounds like it radio and mistook it for another coyote out there and they were calling to it saying “hey! We’re over here!” Anyway it’s a good quality radio and let me also add we did have some light rain and it did get wet and even that didn’t have any negative effects on it, it didn’t get soaking wet but my backpack was wet my rain jacket too, and this radio was certainly as wet as everything else and it held up fine! It’s a good radio and a great price.

Excellent little radio!
I wanted to get an "old school" portable radio to attach to my bike for Summer riding and couldn't find an old one anywhere or for the right price. So I decided I would buy a new one that acted like an old one but was afraid I just couldn't find one since they don't make things like that anymore! Well, let me tell you, this one does the job! It's a bit lighter in weight than an old school one but the sound on this was excellent, clear, and picked up a ton of stations even before I pulled the antenna out! Yes, ANTENNA! I am so happy with this little radio! It is everything I was looking for! It takes 2 AA batteries (way cheap) and it barely uses any battery power to work (radios never do). I miss the days of before, when things were simple. This little radio brought me back to the 1980s :) Also, the shipping was 1 day, yes, I ordered on Saturday and it was delivered on Sunday and the company even emailed saying they hoped I was happy with radio and that if there were any problems at all, they would promptly take care of it and that customer satisfaction is #1! They were right. I HIGHLY recommend this company and their products!

good radio for the money silver color
mine came in an open envelope. box was a bit smooshed, but the radio was good. feels and looks very cheap/fragile. tuning knob was crooked but worked. on/off was interesting. I have not seen that type of mechanism in many many years. but it worked. antenna did help pick up my favorite radio station. headset played properly. built in speaker sounds ok. I really have no technical issues. But I have had it only a short time. I do have a cosmetic issue. the sticker they use for the radio stations has bubbles in it. Minor but still annoying. worth the money if it holds up.

Best Little Radio Around
Best little radio this side of the Pecos River! Okay, that’s a commercial for Pace Picante. Seriously, though, best little radio!! Absolutely perfect for my needs. I wanted something I could use in the home office and easily carry around, room to room, if needed (to keep listening to NPR). This one fits the bill. I’ve been so annoyed with the radios in the house because the stations always have static (and it’s too much effort to unplug and move them once set up)(and those small wire antennas never seem to work anywhere in the house). I’ve spent stupid amounts on radios and antennas, before, and all I needed was this simple set up. Great reception! Compact, and, I like the retro look. Brings me back to the simple days; car washes in the yard, garage door up, summer patio chillin’ days. No hassle about connecting to WiFi or charging it up to use. Just a simple, go-to, battery charged compact AM/FM radio!

Came Intact But Nonfunctional
I work well with electronics and I have worked with all kinds my entire life so I feel very confident to say that there was no damage to the radio itself however when initially opened and put batteries inside of, the on light would turn on when switched to the on position but the radio itself would not make any noise or leave any signal to show that it's working other than that light. without having to open it up I can only say that it probably was the speaker getting damaged through shipping or something else that caused an issue or the malfunction that occurred. I will say though for the price you get what you get and is cheap so if it got damaged it happens. and to give it some good reviews I will say that it is a comfortable sized radio the controls are in it wonderful positioning for easy use and it is a very well designed aesthetically and usability wise. if the radio were to be working I would give it 5 out of 5 stars no questions asked however since I do not have a working radio I cannot review whether the actual signal is good enough or if it's a quality sounding radio or if they even picks up the signal well and maybe it's just a fuzzy. but anything that doesn't have to do with the signal or sound which I cannot comment on I will say is designed very well to give the benefit of a doubt.

Touchy and hard to tune
Pros: Cute, Portable, Cheap Cons: Poor Station Tuning, Lots of Static, Poor Volume Control It's a cute little radio, but it has several quirks. It's hard to dial in a station accurately and when you adjust the volume or turn the radio off, you are likely to lose the station you had. The slightest touch will make you lose your station. The volume jumps from off to blaring loud with the slightest adjustment. There is no in between and you can't get station reception until the volume is blaring. All stations, even strong ones, have a level of static and high pitched tone in the background. If you only want to listen to one or two of the strongest stations in your area and don't mind retuning the station every time you turn the radio on, you might be okay with this. If you want to flip through stations or get good reception on multiple stations, this isn't it. Also, the antenna gets stuck in the extended position and doesn't want to fold down.

Great compact size with clear sound.
This is a throwback to bygone days when transistor radios first appeared on the market. They were were very compact and easy to carry. Although not the greatest sound quality, this serves exactly what I need it to do. It can be the perfect emergency radio since it is powered by batteries and I keep it near my workbench in the garage to generally play football or baseball games while I'm working. Everything about this is analog so very easy to use and inexpensive.

One of the most satisfying purchases I have made in YEARS......
I bought one of these Vondior radios a few months ago and, to be honest, was expecting to be disappointed. I live on a remote, 500 acre horse farm and simply wanted something I could carry around with when walking the dogs, etcetera. To cut to the chase?...I was genuinely thrilled with how useful/"good" this radio is (all I recalled were rather unreliable ones from my childhood in the sixties). I've since given one to my 81 year old mother, who does NOT want to have to fool around with sound-devices/ear-buds/etcetera as she moves about her house or out in the garden or on the porch, doing her thing. She's thrilled with it...the reception, the size (she can carry it in one hand, the convenience, the complete lack of "fuss" it requires, the battery life,.......you name it, We're wondering "who got the bright idea of bringing back a portable transistor radio, but also took the time to (one assumes) update the innards? I and my mother know nothing about electronics......except for when they work and don't require fuss (a srict requirement for those of us who, as I said, know NOTHING about electronics....and don't want to know). Many thanks to whoever designed and marketed this radio. My mother got hers for mother's day, and I've already put six of these in my amazon cart for birthday gifts this Fall. I work at home (an artist), and I've simply taken to attaching mine to my belt or putting it in a shirt-pocket.......and I pretty much take it everywhere I go (yes.....we are big NPR fans in this household, have no television, and I listen to the radio all day; the little radio is really appreciated). sincerely, David Terry. Satisfactory
Writing a review after more than six months of using the radio. Price is too high. Sound quality is good and sharp, but not powerful as they mentioned in the description. Not long lasting. Batteries exhaust soon. Outer body (plastic) is of very poor quality and seems to be fragile if the radio is dropped. Overall i give satisfactory remark. Needs to improve with respect to powerful sound, tough body material, quick and efficient picking up of signals /stations when tuned. As this product is priced too high.

Excellent little radio
Got this to use for the occasional drive in movies and emergency cases. Works fantastic off a few batteries and the battery life is great. Sound isn't the best but connect an external speaker via the jack and it's a game changer. No more dead batteries or having to idle the car during drive in movies!
